I had bought a wall mount but I didn't trust it to stay on my drywall, so I got the ceiling mount instead since my old house has a wooden ceiling. It was relatively easy to install, although the instructions could have been clearer. They only show it being mounted to a slanted ceiling, and I think most ceilings aren't slanted. My biggest complaint was that the bolts used to attach the tubes (I want to say pipes) from the ceiling mount to the plate that attaches to the tv both stripped and I had to go to the hardware store to get sturdier replacements. It's made of sturdy steel- very sturdy, it weighs 10 pounds. But it attached to the ceiling securely. You can make it much lower if you need to, although I had to adjust it to its highest height because I would have hit my head otherwise. it swivels to the left and right nicely, but if you want it to tilt downward you have to loosen a bolt to do that. It works very nicely, does what I wanted it to do, and I'm happy I bought it. Just get those extra bolts ahead of time. Read more

It has a wide range of options for height. It had easy to understand directions for the install, it is easier with 2 people in my opinion. It's definitely worth the money. Read more
This is a great ceiling mount for the money. It does supply the hardware but you might need longer screws depending on where you are going to be mounting it. Plus, be sure the weight of your TV doesn't exceed what this mount can handle. This is a very easy mount to install and totally functional in every way, it does it all and it's made very well with all parts being powder coated and it's heavy duty steel construction makes you feel confident that it will hold up your TV without coming apart or breaking after a few uses. My husband likes to have his cousins over to watch football in our garage, this ceiling mount is great for watching games and then clipping the TV up and out of the way through the week. Great price, easy to install, easy to adjust drop from ceiling, easy to rotate horizontal and vertical. The clip in system is secure and easy to operate. Instructions say you need two people, I installed it myself with no issues. Hardware includes multiple bolt sizes for various TVs, lag screws, and even included concrete anchors. If we ever set up our garage sports bar I'll be buying more of these! Just make sure your TV isn't too big for the mount you purchase. Read more
