I bought 5 DVD players & not one of them played ALL of my DVDs. Then I decided to buy a player made in America! This Emerson DVD player, started right up, easy installation & so far it has played every disc that I have put in it! I would recommend this as a try. So far so good. Read more

Worked excellently by 7 months. Then stopped working but when I opened it, because of I don't buy warranty for products less of $50, the problem was very easy to repair. It burned a capacitor, (I'm an electronic's lover but at the same time, a novice /apprantice, and practicing how to remove a component and soldering component, I repaired it in less of 30 minutes. The original capacitor is 1000uf/10 V, I replaced it with one 1000uf/16V. It has inside only 2 simple boards. Read more
I’ve had this player a month, and the quality is there. I’ve not had one issue with this machine at all. I watch this player usually a few dvds a day, or sometimes a week. First of all, it is flimsy. Despite all the nice "modern" features it fails in what it is supposed to work. Eject problems, slow or lack of response to buttons in general. I guess Emerson still remains mediocre-poor through all the years, with a few appliances which are great; this one is definitely not one of them. Read more
A slightly noisy DVD player but it plays most DVD's without any problems whatsoever. I have other DVD's but this one plays very well and it stays on until I shut it off as it is not linked in the same way like some other more modern players. I like that. I use old cords for right and left channels of sound and can also connect to an older stereo so not only do I get one HDMI cord hooked to soundbar through TV, I have full surround sound up to Dolby 5.1.
