First, be aware the pictures for this listing (as of this date) are incorrect. The "oak" color displays what is actually a "charcoal" boot. If you order Oak, you will get a very brown boot. Second, I am disappointed this boot is made in China, because it is so expensive, but I am not surprised. The shearling is dry and somewhat straw-like. I hope it is not also brittle. The fit: I have a size 9-9 1/2 foot but am most comfortable in a slightly larger shoe. It is difficult to keep my feet warm, so for boots I need room for thick wool socks, room for my toes to move, and usually a charcoal warmer. In non-shearling-lined boots this means at least a 10. I bought a size 11 in this boot and it fits beautifully. I was ready to send these brown boots back until I tried them on. The fit was everything I could hope for.
