This is a great box. The hanging folders (not included) didn’t slide well at first but it is loosening up. The bottom board that goes inside and the top are both very rigid and strong. It is also light weight. Even with all of my documents, it was super easy to lift and carry. I like the pockets in the lid to store smaller items such as checkbook, pen, etc. Overall, I think it is a good buy. It works for me. My cat likes it too. Read more

I purchased this fireproof box with the hope that it will offer protection if the unthinkable ever happens. I recently prepared my NOK (Next of Kin) documents to help set my family up for success and reduce stress in the future, and this box was the perfect place to store them. The assembly was simple, and it holds a good amount of documents and small valuables. It’s fully packed now, yet still light enough to move around. The built-in handles make it easy to grab and go, which is a thoughtful feature. It is lockable, and while the lock isn’t high security, it adds an extra layer of peace of mind. The quality feels solid, especially for the price, which I felt was very reasonable. I gave it 4 stars only because I can’t personally speak to how it will perform in an actual fire — and hopefully, I’ll never have to find out. Exactly what I wanted. Files fit nicely, lock works well and I've finally gone through my tall old file cabinet and purged unwanted or needed and all fits nicely in this file holder with room to spare. Nice that it has sturdy carry handles so you can bring out of its stored area when filing. The zip areas are good to store small fixtures used with things with warranties. Read more

I like this box--I'm pleased with the green color, the ability to use hanging file folders and the zippered mesh pouch inside the lid. It comes with a lock, but I don't use that feature, and my box did not have an odor to it. I use this box to transfer items between my home and shop office depending on where I'm working that day. It works great for that purpose since I can easily put it on the car seat. The only disappointment I have is that although it has long carry straps, it does not have handles on the sides. The carry straps do not have a velcro fastener to secure them together, so when you put the box down they drop to the floor meaning you have to bend all the way down to the floor to grab the carry straps when you want to pick the box back up. It would be easier if the straps were held together on top of the box so you have less bending. It would also be easier if there were handles on the sides of the box so you could pick it up and hold it close to your body/against your torso while you carry it. It's big enough that it's awkward for me to carry since my arms do not go all the way around it and there is no where to hold onto it. The only way I can carry it is hanging from the straps, but if it's full that's too much weight for me to be hanging off my arm and I don't want to get hurt. For that reason I would not purchase this box again, but if the design was improved to include handles I would buy another one because I like everything else about it. Read more
