From the first squeeze of the thumb-throttle I knew the ENGWE Y600 was in a league of its own. The 830 W peak rear-hub motor surges up to a real-world 28 mph in seconds, giving me all the confidence I need to weave through morning traffic or climb the modest hills on my route. Even after a week of daily rides, the 48 V 18 Ah battery still delivers the advertised 40-plus-mile (โ70 km) range. What really seals the deal is ride comfort. ENGWEโs dual-suspension system and fat 10 ร 2.75-inch tires soak up potholes and cobblestones alike, while the detachable saddle lets me switch between a relaxed seated cruise and a classic stand-up ride in seconds. Late-night returns feel equally secure thanks to the bright wrap-around lighting and responsive mechanical discs with E-ABS. Practicality is on point, too: the frame folds in one smooth motion, the center-mounted LCD keeps speed and battery stats crystal clear, and at 58 lb itโs still manageable on a subway stairwell. After 200 miles Iโve found nothing in the sub-$1,000 class that matches this blend of power, range, comfort, and build quality. If you want a commuter scooter that feels more like a mini-moto than a toy, the Y600 is worth every starโand every dollar. Read more

I wanted to wait until I drove this 350 miles before reviewing, as there is a learning curve going from a more basic scooter model to a more advanced one like this. I suggest purchasing some tire slime as a preventative to glass shards on roads puncturing your tires. It also works after the fact, but this saved me from having to install a new tire I suggest purchasing a silicone lubricant as the folding area and shocks can get squeaky. Good maintenance You have to push the brakes and push the handle bar forward while pressing the foot down to easily fold the scooter Buy a portable tire pressurizer. Make sure the wheels are set to 45-50 PSI before driving it. This scooter on full speed and in-city driving will go 35+miles. I was able to go 39miles on speed 2. It will go 27mph on full speed with a max battery, but you'll average about 24mph with 30-80% battery. Scooter has been good for minor off-road situations where the sidewalk vanishes and handles bumps well. The shocks loosen up over time which is a good thing, keep knees slightly bent and it's fine The brakes are adjustable in 2 spots and they are incredible, can easily skid tires so find a nice balance, use both brakes at the same time Very sturdy and the lights are great at night. The weight takes some getting used to if you're used to a very lightweight scooter but for all the bells and whistles this isn't actually a super heavy scooter. I can easily take it up and down a flight of stairs The battery is still strong after 350 miles and i am quite happy! Everything that I had concerns with were easy fixes, go through all of the pre-installed bolts and make sure everything is tight like the handlebar. The folding mechanism on the handle bars often gets a little loose but it's not a security concern as you'd have to twist it 20 times and then pull outwards before it would actually fold up while driving. First and foremost, I had an issue regarding the folding mechanism of the scooter. Put simply, the mechanism was put on way too tightly and does not allow the scooter to fold as intended. I had this concern addressed here on Amazon with a partial refund, but the annoyance that this causes me still persists. I thought that riding the machine would cause this mechanism to loosen up a bit, but it still does not fold as intended. On my first ride with it, it rode great. No issues at all, everything worked as intended. I was extremely happy with the product. Now, I am faced with the current issue. On my second ride with the scooter, the scooter began to constantly stall out at a mere 8km/h (5mph), showing a caution sign on the speedometer. This stalling out took place on a major road and almost caused me to lose control of the scooter, jeopardizing my safety in the process. This is completely unacceptable from a scooter this early in it's lifespan. Now, the scooter is extremely loud, feels like it is working excessively hard to move, and the acceleration is far from the responsive experience I got in my first ride. Additionally, when attempting to push the scooter, it feels like it is dragging. I suspect this may be an issue with the transmission of the e-scooter, but I'm not sure. This has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. At the time of writing this review, I have emailed ENGWE to demand prompt action to rectify this situation. I am requesting that they either assist me in getting the scooter fixed, cover the costs of repair, or provide a full refund for this faulty product. I will not settle for anything less than proper assistance in resolving this issue: this many numerous issues after only two weeks is absolutely unacceptable. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this product at this time. Do not waste your money or jeopardize your safety with this brand. Read more

This scooter is a great price for everything you get. Not only is the scooter build very well, it boasts speeds and suspension that you would find on a unit that is twice this price. A powerful headlight and responsive brakes give me more peace of mind riding, especially around public roads with the potential for heavier traffic. The addition of a seat was one of the primary reasons I went with this model. If I have a longer ride then the seat comes in handy, and when I don't want the seat I can easily remove it. Charge of the scooter is also very quick. Overall, I would highly recommend to anymore looking for a reliable, feature packed scooter. Read more
