I have a few chronic conditions that sometimes makes it hard for me to eat well. (I have a lot of scar tissue in my throat from an accident) When I flare up, I usually get some kind of a shake and these for my "drink" they have a lot of what the nutrition shakes have, but these are delicious. I could drink them daily just to drink They have 180 calories, which, if you're not eating well, more is better. These only have 8g protein, but again, this is more a drink than a meal replacement. I'm so sad. I got these on sale. If I knew it was a sale, I would've bought them all. Now they're $10 USD more. But still worth it if you need that bit of extra help. This product was recommended to me by my nurse as a "clear" I could have as part of my colonoscopy prep. It tastes much better than I expected~ sort of like Hawaiian Punch (it's called "Mixed Fruit" flavor). I used it to mix with the MiraLAX powder, and it went down quite well (I drank it cold, from frig.). It contains vitamins and some carbs, so it filled me up a bit during the fast. Read more
The Ensure Clear mixed fruit flavored drink tastes great. I drink these because I needed the calories. I do like the protein content, but don’t depend on this one drink to provide you with enough nutrients. For example, this drink isn’t a significant source of potassium. I had an issue that lasted a couple of weeks and could tolerate this drink well, but I had to see the doctor. I had lab work done and my potassium levels were dangerously low. Since then I’ve had Ensure Complete occasionally although I hate it. The Ensure Clear tastes much better. Read more
I bought this for my very sick husband. He liked it. It tastes like minute maid fruit punch and has some nutritional value too. There is a version with no color that you can get to use before procedures. This is colored red, but still considered a clear liquid for clear diet. Read more
