I adore these boots! They're a mix of faux suede and faux leather (all black) and have a zipper on the inside ankle. They look a lot like the Chelsea boot in style but the heel has a bit of a platform. It's 2.5" tall and it lowers to about an inch high under the ball and toe of the foot. I didn't expect to be able to wear them yet since it's summer and hot, but we had a very rainy cold snap, so I had the perfect opportunity to try them out. I wore them with a fleece pair of socks. I have a narrow foot, but the width of these boots seemed just right. The sole and heel made walking very comfortable, and also, provided a non-skid surface so I was able to walk safely in the rain and wet. (And the boots still looked great when I came home. I just wiped them faux leather part dry and they have been just perfect since then.) These boots look fantastic with both jeans and dress pants.
