Fine board but a little outdated

JBergOctober 31, 2025

The 8266 is quite old at this point and hard to recommend over more modern solutions. They still have their uses but in many cases you can get a more capable ESP32 C family for around the same price. This one at least has 1MB of memory which gives it a bit more usefulness. The board itself is what you'd expect quality-wise. No complaints it's just hard to recommend an 8266 these days unless you have very specific needs for one. In that case, this is a perfectly fine board. Read more
