I got a sample of this in Rawbox (a subscription box) a few months back and kept it around but didn't use it for a long time. And then, over the weekend, my gums were pretty inflamed (I had been drinking too much diet soda and the acid was causing problems). I remember using peroxide mouthwashes when I had braces and got sores from the brackets and wires, so I figured I would give this a try. One other thing to mention, I'm just using this as mouthwash. I am still brushing with regular toothpaste (I have some tooth damage from grinding my teeth back when I was in grad school and I really need fluoride), but I use this as a mouthwash periodically during the day, really focusing on the area with the most inflamed gums (maybe 3-4 times per day, just when I feel like I need it). And, after only about two days, I am already a lot better -- very little pain (really, almost none) and no more bleeding gums when I brush my teeth. The sensitivity in that area is going away, too. This is very gentle and it is not strongly flavored. You do get a mild minty/herbal flavor from the essential oils, but it is definitely tolerable. This is much more pleasant to rinse with than, say, Listerine, and it does not contain alcohol. It foams a bit; that's the hydrogen peroxide doing its work. (Due to the hydrogen peroxide, make sure you don't swallow this.) This is not going to protect your gums if you keep doing the things that got you into trouble in the first place. (Sadly, I have had to give up diet soda for now.) And if anything is hurting/bleeding in your mouth for more than a few days, you should really get to a dentist. But if you catch your problem early, like I did, this can be part of a combination strategy for getting your gums back to health. I would agree that this helps freshen the breath -- the peroxide kills germs and the essential oils probably contribute a bit, as well. I can't say whether it whitens the teeth after only two days, I'm mostly using this for the health of my gums. Any whitening down the road will be an added benefit. For what it's worth, this is a clear, non-viscous liquid. Anyway, glad I decided to give this a chance, as it has really been helping. Read more
We love this holestic mouth rinse! My husband was border line for gum disease, he started using this nightly in the shower and completely healthy gums now. The dental hygienist was very impressed. I’ve gotten this mouthwash several times and I am so happy with it. I had been on a hunt for a good mouthwash that didn’t have bad ingredients or any sort of dye or chemicals, and this one has only good quality ingredients. It also works really well I’ve been SO happy with it. The taste also is good as well, I’ve had some other brands that either taste bad or stings my mouth and I’ve had neither of those problems with this. This has now been a staple in my daily routine, i use it twice a day and will keep buying this brand!!! The only downside is it’s slightly expensive for mouthwash, but considering the ingredients are good and I’ve been happy with it I’ll keep buying it. Read more
Had a roommate with severe problems with his gums and this apparently helped clear it up. I use it regularly myself, since it appears more effective than standard toothpaste and avoids the complications of glycerin and fluoride by leaving them out of the equation. The only thing that has me miffed is on the EssentialOxygen website they list dentists with checks or x's by their names who support organic and non-invasive dental procedures, but one of the criteria listed is homeopathy which is neither explained nor referred to anywhere else on their site. The page can be found here listed under "Progressive Dentist Directory": [...] For those who don't know, Homeopathy is a vastly discredited pseudoscience in which diluting a chemical somehow increases its potency. This is demonstrably false, which any person, regardless of education, could determine by simply adding water to a small amount of juice and realizing it doesn't taste as sweet. Why they would list this a positive criteria is baffling, other than to potentially deceive easily outwitted conspiritards. Homeopathy is placebo incarnate. Ozone Therapy, while young in dental applications, does appear to have a more solid base in medical fields, however, so I won't strike them for that. Anyways, good product, but the website oddity has me holding essentialoxygen suspect until they review the quality of the information they disseminate to the public. Read more
I took a chance ordering the three (oral rinse, toothpaste and polishing powder) products. I was looking for a good whitening system when I came across this line of products. I based my decision to buy this line or system solely based on reading the reviews. Wow, I was totally blown away after using this line of oral hygiene/ tooth care products. My teeth were squeeky clean and my mouth felt so fresh after I used them and my dentist couldn’t have polished my teeth at home any better. I went to the dentist to have a filling repaired and he couldn’t believe that I was still waiting until my appointment with the hygienist to clean my teeth. After COVID the hygienist’s had gotten behind scheduling routine cleaning and check ups so It’s been 7 months ago that my teeth were professionally cleaned and the dentist couldn’t really tell. If you’re on the fence whether to try this line of products, trust me when I say “ give this a try and you’ll be hooked on the great cleaning and whitening!”I think this line of oral hygiene products is excellent and I think that you too will realize the same thing. By the way, I absolutely hate writing reviews but this product line does deserve the time it took me to write it! Read more
