These don't pull my edges or hurt behind my ears like most of the headbands I've tried before. I'm trying to grow out my short hair and this holds curls back and of my face so I'm not using clips and pins that do pull my hair. For the price, 2 headbands is great. I did give the black one to a friend of mine so she can add some embellishments on each side of the knot since the black fabric just disappears against my hair.
