I love making frozen yogurt. This will do the job. However the paddle attachment can be tricky to keep into place to mix. Read more

Slung Ice Cream Through Slot

Sad EyesOctober 2, 2022

At first I started to send this ice cream maker back, but I did decide to keep it. The reason I started to send it back is halfway through my first batch, the little slot that’s there for you to pour in toppings would allow ice cream to sling out. It did this several times throughout the cooling process. I believe what was happening was as the ice cream was freezing, the blades were scraping and it would get stuck and then it would get a big scoop and then all at once ice cream would come flying out of the hole. I solved that issue by putting a little clear packing tape over the hole. I wish the inventors had thought to put a removable insert so you could take it in and out to add mix ins. I’ve seen food processors with the same type of insert that you remove to add food, so it would’ve been great to have had one on this. It would’ve made it less messy and still been able to add your toppings easily. The bucket isn’t as obtrusive as some of the other ice cream makers that I’ve had in the past. It’s a really cute polkadot design. I kept mine in the freezer for about a week before I had time to use any to make any ice cream. I think I made ice milk because all I had was a can of evaporated milk, some coffee creamer and some whole milk but I have to say it mixed up well and it was tasty. I plan on using this to make ice cream, slushy‘s, frozen drinks. There’s just lots of things to make. If you don’t mind a little ice cream, escaping the topping hole, then this is not bad purchase. Easy, Fun, and Tasty Treats

DoggosOctober 22, 2022

I have been using the Euro Cuisine Ice Cream maker consistently for about a month now. By consistently I mean I make ice cream 2-3 times a week (sometimes 4). This ice cream maker is easy to use and would be loads of fun to use with kids. As it is, I have been making ice cream for myself and my dogs (all dog friendly ingredients, of course). First off, definitely make SURE the bowl is totally frozen. I made the mistake of using it half frozen the first time out because I was anxious to use it. It does not freeze any other mixture if not frozen but instead gives you a nice cold milkshake. Cool. Second, it is way easier to rinse everything off in warm soapy water right after using than to wait. I have not put anything in the dishwasher (def not the freezing bowl) because I'm afraid the plastics would get damaged. They are not hard to clean immediately after using. After removing the ice cream from the freezing bowl it will unfreeze completely in about half an hour and can be cleaned. Third, make SURE the freezing bowl is completely dry before refreezing. Even if you think it is dry, it probably isn't. I have learned to wait till the next morning to put it back in the freezer. I haven't had any troubles with ice cream shooting out of the spout. I really love the pour spout on the top. I previously had an ice cream maker which was not as thoughtfully designed and there was a race to pour in the liquid ice cream and get the motor of the maker started before too much liquid froze to the sides. No problem with that here! Do NOT use metal utensils to dig the ice cream out of the frozen bowl. You will cause weeping and gnashing of teeth when you puncture the bowl. The serving bowls that are included with this are a nice thought and are probably the only way to make this a four serving deal. They are child sized portions though. I would call this more like a two person (or one person and 2 dogs) serving size machine. One last thing, the motor on this is quiet! The previous brand I had was obnoxiously loud and made me not want to use it. This one is not terribly noticeable when running. If you are looking for a little ice cream maker, this is definitely a great one to try. Google around for recipes and get after making some tasty treats! Read more

Fresh homemade frozen desserts

tracy curtisMay 11, 2023

I received this from the Amazon Vine program and am leaving my review voluntarily. I grew up with a mom who made fresh ice cream all summer so I knew I wanted to do the same. This system is a bit different than the regular ice cream machine. This one requires you to put the drum in the freezer first. (hope you have the space) A couple recipes come with this set. While this worked (it took a bit longer than the 30min- after first freezing the drum) the finished product was a medium soft ice cream. Kids enjoyed it. Overpriced at $89.99 though. Read more

Great for small-batch, quick frozen treats

Kris ASeptember 23, 2022

My dad had one of these for years. He used it nearly every day. We all knew how to make homemade ice cream from an early age. We had both hand-crank & electric ice cream makers. But this is one of the greatest inventions. I love this! I love the polka-dot style & the easy assembly/clean-up. My son & I ate the entire first batch, which was essentially fresh strawberries, cream, some vanilla & sugar. We didn't even worry about chopping the whole berries. This worked like a dream. The hard part is putting it back in the freezer & waiting for it to freeze enough to make another batch. I love, that this is electric. My son made chocolate malts with it the other nite from a recipie he found online. This is so great! There isn't a lot to share when you make a batch, it's pretty much moderate portions for four people (we laughed at the ice cream dishes, they're so small! they won't get much use until grandkids arrive!) or normal portions for two. I enjoy italian ice & can now quickly make my own and manage the sugar content. This is still super easy clean. It doesn't take up much freezer space & it's great to have it at the ready when you feel like something icy, but don't want to drive to get it. I poured some OJ in it this morning & had orange ice. And with so many recipies online, we're having fun experimenting. It also makes a great gift for someone who's had a surgery or doing a cancer treatment & is craving something simple & cold. I would definitely buy this again. Read more
