It paid for itself as soon as I re-sized my Bulova Icon. The materials probably aren't the best, but considering the price, number of tools, and extras, you can't go wrong. If you're worried about bending/breaking the tools, or the plastic devices, consider this: you don't want/need to apply Hulk level strength to repair your watch and potentially damage it. I really like the set, especially the zippered carry case. It keeps all the parts from getting lost or separated. The only problem I've had (and it may be user error) is getting the back off of a watch where the back is flat and I can't get anything to get under the edge to pop off the back of the watch. The other watches that I needed to change batteries, I didn't have any problems. The black holder, to hold the watch while you are taking on the back is very nice. It worked very well. So much better than holding in my hand as before. I haven't needed to take out links or replace a pin yet. Most of our watches do not have the links. Read more

I'm not a watch person. I only own 2 watches. A 14 year old Casio G-Shock and now a Citizen Eco-Drive that has a titanium bracelet. I originally paid $15 to Kay Jewelers to size my watch after a local Jewelry shop told me they didn't have the tools to do a Citizen upon trying. I wasn't super happy with the Kay sizing and instead of going back decided to do what I wished I did in the first place, which was to buy my own cheap kit and I'm happy I did. It took me awhile to figure out how to setup the links on the citizen but eventually using this kit I was able to successfully size out my links and even move the micro adjustment in the latch to make it fit perfectly which Kay didn't even offer to do. I only learned about it after a coworker discussed watches and fitting them to me. I'm very happy I bought this kit, even if I don't end up using it again for a long long time. Read more

The treads on the wrench are not treaded properly, when you attempt to install a removal head the treads are so tight you need pliers to screw the head on to each one. The pin removal vise is poor. On my first attempt the pin snapped off from the vise. The tools are poorly made . I cannot recommend buying it Read more

I've used every component in this kit at one time or another and still can't tell you what everything in the is yet. It has been tremendously helpful. I've broken a few small components but there's extras of everything I've destroyed in my ignorance. I think they expected that when the kit was put together.
