I'm not really a fan of camping (mainly for medical reasons...CPAP and back issues), but I have gone a couple of times, the last time out at Hayden Creek Campgrounds in Colorado. I had an 8-person tent for the three of us (I used a cot...no sleeping on the ground for my back) so I was nervous about getting this 4-person tent. Turns out, I shouldn't have been. I just set the tent up this morning, too about 1000mg of pain medication, and now I'm resting on my couch typing this review just hoping that I'll be able to get back up should nature call. After I did set up the tent, I went in and wow...talk about dark!!! Most manufacturers like to exaggerate their claims but Ever Advanced backs it up. If you're ever camping and stay up a little too late partying, the morning sun isn't going to wake you up and allow you to sleep in. Setup was really quick...maybe about 2 or 3 minutes? I'm not used to setting up tents, but after a couple of times I could probably shave that time in half making it ideal if you have to set up the tent in inclement weather. You know, thinking about it most tents have much more curvature in their tents where the only place you could stand up would have been directly in the middle, then drastically reducing in height with every inch you get towards the edge. This makes it easier for folks to avoid back pain by not having to bend as much when getting out of their sleeping bag. My boys are really wanting to go camping later this year and even though I don't have my cot anymore, I'm looking forward to it (maybe four or five comforters under my sleeping bag). I'm glad that I got this tent to give my boys this experience. Read more

Signs You May Need to Recoat: ● Water no longer beads up on the fabric surface (instead pooling or soaking in) ● Water leaking through seams or fabric during rain ● Visible degradation or flaking of the coating ● Reduced water repellency after 3-5 years of heavy use How to Extend Waterproofing: ● Minimize UV exposure during storage (store in shade, not direct sunlight) ● Avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals or solvents ● Clean gently with mild soap and water only ● Allow to air dry thoroughly after wet conditions Recoating Options: When waterproofing diminishes, you can apply specialized tent sealers or fabric waterproofing treatments available on Amazon. This tent was recently delivered and EVER ADVANCED blackout tent, and even before getting it to the campsite, a few things really stand out. While I haven't had the chance to do a full overnight in it yet due to local property restrictions, I’ve given the components a thorough "living room" inspection. The "Blackout" is no joke: Holding the fabric up to a bright window, it blocks an incredible amount of light. It’s a thick, coated material that feels much more durable than the thin nylon you see on budget tents. If you’re a late sleeper or camping with kids who wake up at sunrise, this is going to be a game-changer. Setup Design: The "Instant Cabin" mechanism is pre-attached to the poles. Based on the instruction manual and the way the joints move, it looks like a genuine 60-second job. It’s a telescoping design, so you’re basically just extending the legs until they click. Portability & Case: The carry bag is surprisingly sturdy. Often, tent bags are so tight you can never get the tent back in, but this one has a bit of "give" and the zippers feel heavy-duty. It’s a bit heavy (as expected for a cabin style), but it’s compact enough for any trunk. Pros so far: Heavy-duty rainfly: 4000mm rating is quite high for this price point. Vertical walls: The cabin shape means you don't lose all your floor space to sloped ceilings. Light blocking: Truly impressive opacity. I'm looking forward to getting this out in the woods to see how the ventilation holds up with that blackout coating, but for build quality alone, I’m very impressed. Read more
