This is small for adults but perfect for young school age children. The bag will fit small wallet, sun glasses, tissues, foldable hair brush with room for a cell phone too. It’s perfect for day trips or trips to amusement parks. The belt part is strong and is adjustable. May be tight for children who are large for their age/ size. Read more
It is just as described. I ordered for my 7 year old and out trip to SeaWorld to hold a personal fan and his wallet. I was also able to squeeze in a small rub on sunscreen. The wait will be big enough to go around a very large person (it went around someone 250lbs no problem with room to spare) for my son we just safty pinned the extra so we could use it again for someone else if needed. This is a good sturdy fanny pack, and it's just right for my girls. We use them to put crayons in for when I have to take them somewhere where they have to sit quietly and wait for a while. That way they have easy access to their colors and I don't have to worry about them spilling out of a bag or getting left out of the box. My girls are preschoolers and it works great for them, but it would also be a good size for elementary and middle-school aged kids as well. The one big complaint that I have on this is that the strap to go around the waist is definitely NOT child size, even though the fanny pack itself is! The tail of it hangs off like a long leash! I actually tie it in a bow around the back strap to keep it out of the way. Overall I recommend this fanny pack because it's such a good quality and the size is just right, but be warned that the strap is about twice as long as it needs to be. Read more

This is the second Everest child's fanny pack we have purchased. The first time the closing mechanism jammed, it was *impossible* to undo, and we had to cut the straps to get it off our daughter. We assumed it was a fluke, however, and we bought another one. It was not a fluke: It is a design flaw - especially for a *child's* fanny pack. The first day it arrived, it immediately jammed upon snapping it shut, again. By jammed, I mean *impossible* for any average woman or child to undo/open. My husband, who is very strong, had to pull it out with *all* his strength to undo it. Then we noticed the design flaw: The closing snap is designed to only go in one way. However, it can and will easily go in the wrong way without any resistance. When it is inserted correctly, it works fine. But, if you put it in the wrong way, which any child can do easily do without forcing it, it sticks - pretty much permanently. While an adult *might* notice the specific curve of the snap, though it is a not at all readily apparent, a young child would never notice it. The snap should be designed so that it can *only* be inserted one way. If there is a wrong way (which there is), it should not be possible to close the snap. In short: This is a poor design for even adults. Anyone in a rush can easily snap it shut the wrong way. For a child's product, this makes it patently absurd. Read more
I ordered this fanny pack for one of my little preschool students who is learning how to wait. She has autism, and waiting is really hard for her. I stocked the pouch with items that would prompt her to use strategies she has learned to help her when she has to wait--a small 1 min. sand hourglass timer, a link from a linking toy with a letter on it to remind her she can sing her alphabet, little fun gloves she can put on to count her fingers, and a squeeze ball. She reaches into the pouch when she has to wait and pulls out one of the objects and uses the strategy. The pouch goes between home and school, and her parents are delighted. The pouch is really perfect for her and adjusts small enough to fit her with plenty of room to grow. I cut off some of the belt because it was too long after I adjusted it. She loves the little pack. It is comfortable and has what she needs right at hand. She is able to unzip the 2 compartments and pull out what she needs. I am really pleased with this product, and may have to order another for my classroom since this one will be going on with my student as she heads to kindergarten. Read more
