I’ve been testing this weighted vest for a mix of strength circuits, rucking, and sprint intervals, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. The adjustable plate system makes it easy to fine‑tune the load for different workouts, light for runs, heavier for squats, lunges, and push‑ups. The padded shoulder straps and breathable mesh backing make a huge difference in comfort, even during longer sessions. The weight sits close to the body with no bounce, so I can move freely without feeling like the vest is shifting or pulling. The tactical-style build isn’t just for looks, the 600D Oxford fabric feels bombproof, and the stitching is reinforced in all the right places. I’ve trained in hot, humid weather and the airflow channels keep it from turning into a sweat trap. I also appreciate how secure the fit is thanks to the adjustable waist straps. Once it’s dialed in, it stays locked, whether I’m doing burpees or hill sprints. The main downside to this vest in my opinion is having to take it on and off, which is why I deducted one star. They really need to use some sort of clip system for sides so you don't have to undo the Velcro every single time. The Velcro is extremely tough, and i feel like I'm tearing it apart every time i take it on and off. Hopefully it will hold up over time, but if they had a quick release clip or something like that...even just one side so you could slide it up over your head, it would be a total game changer. Also, no plates included. Definitely an item you want to grab on sale as $70 is too much for this item when you consider comparable alternatives. Something in the $50 range makes a lot of sense to me in terms of value for the money. If you want a durable, comfortable, and versatile weighted vest, that's mildly inconvenient, that can handle everything from endurance runs to heavy strength work, this one fits the bill. Read more

I have been rucking for about 2 years and use a GoRuck Rucker 4.0. I bought this weighted vest as I have always been curious about using a weighted vest for rucking or other workouts. First, as others have noted, this does not come with any weights. You should use caution when ordering weight plates to ensure that they will fit. I have a Yes4All 45lb plate which DOES NOT fit (too big) and a Yes4All 30lb plate that just barely fits (very tight). There is a large weight compartment on both the front and the back which are designed the same way. The weights slide in from the bottom and then are held in place with several Velcro straps. The danger in attempting to use a plate that is too big is that the Velcro will not have enough area to grip and if the weight comes loose, it will fall straight down. In addition, there are a couple of Velcro straps inside of the large weight compartments. These are a little bit in the way when trying to slide a plate in, however, if you were not going to change plates often, taking the time to secure the weight with these straps would help with the safety and stability. The other feature of the vest to be aware of is the fit. Where I found the vest to potentially run a little small is around the midsection. There are Velcro straps with elastic that are used to secure the vest around your abdomen, however, I found that on my frame (I am 5'9" and about 190lbs), the elastic straps were stretched pretty far. Anyone with a larger midsection may have issues. The shoulder straps are adjustable, however, it is again with Velcro straps. The good feature of this is that when you get the vest adjusted just right, it will not move or come loose, however, it will take some time to get adjusted which will mean many times taking the vest on and off. You would want to adjust the fit when the vest is weighted as the way the vest hangs will be very different with weight vs. unweighted. Overall this is a well made vest if it will fit you correctly and you are willing to take the time to adjust it to your exact fit. When you compare this vest with others of its style (like Wolf Tactical), you will find that this vest is about 1/2 the price of the more well-known brands. Read more
