Inconsistent
It’s been two months and this plug frequently goes offline. I got it to operate a recirculating pump on my hot water heater in my garage. I need to be able to turn it on and off on demand and thought this would help me. I’m in a wheelchair and can’t reach the pump on my own. When it started going offline I added a WiFi extender in my garage to help boost the signal. It still doesn’t work consistently. I would not buy this again. Read more
Works very well
I have a number of the single control outlets but this is the first one I've ever had that allows me to turn on and off two separate things it works very well and I use it for my aquariums so I can turn the lights on and off on demand it's nice that you can also set them to timers overall I find it to be very functional and I find it works very well it is compatible with Alexa although this particular product uses an ewelink if you're a smart home guy you'll have heard of them before but if not it's just some obscure brand Read more
Harder to use than expected
Not as easy to set up as other brands. Must have a separate app BEFORE using it with Alexa. Still can't get "routines" to work and have to use the app to turn on/off. Read more
Would be a lot cooler if it did (have two prongs instead of three).
We've all been 10 years old so we all know what happens when we assume. Which I did. I assumed based on the product photo that this would be a smart adapter that would take me from a two prong outlet to a three-prong grounded adapter, but it didn't. TBH, there aren't a lot of things I need to add to a smart plug, and even fewer cases when I need them together; for example, my lamps don't use smart plugs because they use smart bulbs, my AC won't turn on at a given time even with a smart plug, and we don't really have the Christmas tree up enough to warrant a year-round dedicated smart plug. That said, it does work, was easy enough to connect, etc. I didn't try it with Alexa, but tbh, I always have issues getting Alexa to do what she's supposed to when it comes to smart devices.
