This is a casual summer skirt made from cotton and linen, so it will be a good skirt for me in the spring and summer here in southern AZ. The sizing chart is accurate; I ordered a size small and it fits as expected. For reference I am 5'2" and 115 pounds. It's fit's a bit longer than on the model on the product page, but I'm a lot shorter than her. The front kick pleat is a cute addition and if you are taking long strides and walking fast, it's actually functional instead of just decorative. I wish the slit went a couple of inches higher though and that may be just because the entire skirt is longer because on my shortness. The casual style pairs equally well with heels, sandals or sneakers. The elastic in the back is needed since there isn't a zipper and the skirt has a bit of a fitted lock. I'm not the biggest fan of the elastic, and prefer a zipper, but the elastic is functional and give the skirt a more casual look. The rope tie belt adds to the casual look. As far as the construction on this, it's not bad. There were a couple loose threads, which I trimmed off. The stitching feels like it's tight, so I don't expect the seams to split. There is a short lining in the skirt, so even in the sunlight it's not see through from about mid-thigh up. I washed it in cold water as recommended but the instructions said line dry and I don't want to do that unless I absolutely have to, so I put it in the dryer on permanent press setting. There was about 1" shrinkage in the waist, but within an hour it had stretched out to the original size. Using the permanent-press setting meant I didn't need to iron it a big plus for me! My only recommendation, which would also move this to a 5-star review, would be the inclusion of pockets. I dislike not having side pockets in my skirts as they are so easy to add. I think all manufacturers should include pockets to dresses and skirts! The pricing is fair for the skirt; I can recommend it as it would be the perfect summer skirt if only it had pockets! I like this skirt. I ordered it in the black and it's a matte black color with a cream-colored string/rope for the belt. The rope, as you can probably tell from the pictures, it's really casual and resembles that of a nautical rope. I ordered this skirt in a XL as I normally wear a 14 in bottoms and didn't really know how this brand would fit. I have a soft, squishy belly and decided to order a size up (on the size chart, it said the large is a 12-14 and the XL is a 16-18). I would disagree with this fit. I would say the XL is really 14-16. Not a major difference but I've been a size 18 before and this would not have fit (based on my proportions). That being said, I would say, if you are on the larger side of a size range and carry some weight in your belly, order a size up. This material has no stretch (there is an elastic band at the back of the waist, but the rest of the garment does not stretch). As I mentioned about the fit, this fits me relaxed. Not as drapey as the models but not tight either. I'm 5'3" and this falls just above my ankles. Again, I expected this as I'm short. The material is ok. It feels fine against the skin. The pleating detail is quite subtle in person (perhaps it's because of this color). they sit flat. I find it quite pretty and adds some dimension and pizzaz for what would be a basic skirt. The slit is very modest. It goes from the hem to mid-knee area on me. Another reviewer said there was a zipper. I had no clue there was. In fact, at the time of writing this review, I couldn't recall it, so I went to my closet to double check. It has a zipper! It's on the right side of the garment. Again, I'm shocked. I didn't need the zipper to step in and pull it up. It's quite discreet. I haven't washed it yet but there is some discrepancy with the washing directions. On the bag it says one thing while the tag says another. I forgot to take a picture of the tag, but they differ. I will machine wash cold and line dry. Overall, the skirt is as advertised. I still gave it five stars because of that. I still think it's just an ok skirt on me but the description and its pictures do showcase what you can expect in person. Read more

I typically don’t do linen, but I couldn’t resist the EXLURA linen elastic‑waist long straight skirt. The style really appealed to me—the darting down the front and the slit are so flattering—so I gave it a try, and I am in love with this skirt. Yes, it’s linen, so it will wrinkle and probably drive me a little nuts, but it’s absolutely worth it. It makes me feel so good. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to fit this well. I normally wear a large, ordered a large, and it fits perfectly. There’s a side zipper that makes it easy to put on, and the elastic in the back of the waistband is subtle and comfortable. The fabric is on the thinner side, but it’s fully lined, so it’s not sheer. It’s light, airy, and I cannot wait to wear it once the weather warms up. This skirt is incredibly versatile—you can wear it as a swimsuit cover-up, casually with flip-flops and a tee, or dress it up with a belt for a professional look. It works with T‑shirts, tank tops, light sweaters, sweatshirts, flip‑flops, heels, and even sneakers. I can’t believe it’s under $25. It looks and feels like a high‑end piece. I’ve become a big fan of the Exlura brand—they make beautiful, well‑fitting items and include clear washing instructions you can’t miss. I love that. Highly recommend! Read more

This skirt was very thin, moreso than I am comfortable with, and ran small through the hips. I am a curvy girl, so if you don’t have wide hips, it might be fine for you. Read more
