I’ve been using the JUWUOI External Blu-ray Drive and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs. From the moment I connected it, the setup was smooth and hassle-free. The drive was instantly recognized by my system, and I’ve had zero issues with functionality — no glitches, no read/write errors, and no compatibility problems. It’s been consistently reliable across multiple uses. For the price point, this drive is a solid investment. It offers dependable performance without the premium cost often associated with Blu-ray hardware. Whether you're backing up data, watching HD movies, or burning discs, it handles the job efficiently. One important note: the drive doesn’t come bundled with its own disc-burning software. You’ll need to have your own burning application installed to make full use of its capabilities. This isn’t unusual for external drives, but it’s worth mentioning for those who might expect an all-in-one package. Overall, I’d recommend the JUWUOI Blu-ray Drive to anyone looking for a dependable, budget-friendly option that delivers on performance — just be prepared to supply your own software. Read more
I have no complaints. The drive has good weight and a sturdy construction. Spent the entire night watch my blu ray films with no issues. It barely makes any noise at all. I really like the clean look to it. Very pleased with my purchase. Just make sure you have an appropriate backup program to play your disks. I realized VLC doesn't work for absolutely everything. PowerDVD is what I use for mine. Read more
Trash. Have had this too long to return or I would have returned by now. Works great for DVDs but won’t read a Blu-ray Disc at all. Data or video. Had been just using DVDs in it until today. Tried watching a Blu-ray and it won’t even recognize a disc in the drive. Tried several to no avail. Claims to be comparable with 100gb discs. Won’t read ANY BD at all. I do not recommend buying an over priced dvd burner. Read more
I bought this to burn 100 GB M-Disks for data backup. it has functioned as expected. why 4 stars and not 5? It does not come with software you will need to purchase this at additional cost It can require multiple tries to get the buffer to engage during burning large disks (a little frustrating) Burn times are a bit long, 2 to 2.5 hours for 90 GB of data This burner is inexpensive even with the extra needed software, its ok for the purpose I needed. Setup is quick and easy—my laptop recognized the drive immediately. It reads Blu-ray and DVDs smoothly, and its USB port and card reader make it more flexible than a standard drive. It's a reliable and affordable option for backups and media playback. Read more
Modern desktop computers don't have CD/DVD/Bluray drives anymore... all data transfer is done via thumb drives, wifi, or simply sharing on the cloud. However, I sometimes need something that will allow me to rip/play a library disk. This has served very well and at a good price point. Highly recommended! Read more
I have tried to play about 25 discs in this, from the library or from what I already own, and it fails to read ~60% of discs. From old DVDs of shows, home DVDs, blu rays, its success rate in playing anything is so low it’s functionally trash because you’ll need another disc player for most things. Don’t waste your money on something that is going to force you to use another tool, this is another misleading product taking advantage of people and it will not meet your needs. Read more
