My whole life, I've used cotton towels and thought that was what I was buying here. These towels are 100% polyester and therefore feel weird on the skin. They are much softer than what I'm used to. They are also very thin and lightweight, even though the towels are quite large. A good quality cotton towel from a department store feels at least twice as thick and heavy, but not as soft. The towel is grippy against damp skin, which increases friction, but due to the softness it is not actually uncomfortable. It just takes some getting used to. I also feel like I am not getting as quite as dry as I should be, almost as though the towel is leaving behind a tiny amount of moisture that a cotton towel would have absorbed. Yet in my dry climate, what little moisture is left very quickly evaporates. The towels had no odors or smells, and have so far survived two washings with no apparent problems. Read more

These are awesome. At first I wasn't sure bc of the material is different than any towel I've ever used. Its fluffy but not puffy, if that makes sense. Its soft, absorbs well, fast drying, light weight and very large. I use the washcloth as a hand towel. Lol Like the little loops for hanging as well. The color came as pictured. I really like the texture of these towels; they are very soft and fluffy, but they also dry nicely. The issue is that after a couple of washes, they lose the fluff and become very rough, and get holes where the fluff used to be. It could be that they need to be dried differently, but it was very disappointing how quickly they became unusable. Overall durability is low, and they aren't great after a few washes. Read more

Well, I suppose it depends on why you buy these towels. If you buy them for looks - great choice! They are really pretty and very soft. If you buy them because you want to dry yourself with them - not a good choice. It is made of polyester and polyester is actually water resistant! So you dry and dry and your body is still not dry.
