This is actually softer than I was expecting. I thought initially I'd use this under my rack and bike, but once I rolled it out, I liked the feel more than the puzzle cubes I currently have in my basement, so I swapped it up a bit and now use this one for exercise/HIIT stuff. My basement floor is tile so I got a bit of rug tape/gripper to put underneath and it worked like a charm. Lays flat after a few uses, is dense but still pretty soft, and seems like it's built to last. I've only had for a few weeks but so far it doesn't keep any indentations/marks from gym equipment and is pretty easy to clean. Solid choice for your home gym. Read more

This is a more heavy-duty mat than the typical exercise mat. I decided to get the 6'x4' size because we have a hardwood floor, and I thought I would like to have a larger area with a mat, especially for exercises that require jumping. This mat is the same length as my other exercise mat, but it's twice as wide. While my old mat is lightweight, this one is NOT, so it doesn't slide around, but it's also more difficult to roll up and store. (The package weight is 6.78kg, so I suspect the mat is at least 10lbs.) It does provide the extra cushioning I was hoping for, and I like having the extra space. I no longer have to debate whether to put my feet on the floor or the mat for pushups, planks, and downward dogs! Even though it's heavy duty and a bit more difficult to work with, I can roll it up and stick it in the closet when I'm not using it. I do wish it had been rolled with the exercise surface on the inside so that I can unroll it and have it ready to go immediately. With some help I was able to roll it the way that I wanted it, so hopefully I can get it to roll that way by myself next time I use it. Overall, this is a very nice exercise mat. Yes, it's more expensive than any I've ever owned, but it's also thicker and more heavy-duty. It doesn't move, so I feel like it's probably worth the extra expense. Read more

This mat is perfect for my at home gym. I have it setup in the unfinished basement with a concrete floor. here are few things I really like about this mat 1. Stays in place and doesn't move around when exercising on it or stretching 2. It is soft enough to reduce impact for workouts but not to much to where you don't have good footing when doing lifting routines on it 3.
