The interior of my house was destroyed in a flood during the last hurricane. This included all of my home gym equipment and "professional gym quality flooring" in that area. Of course, insurance doesn't cover the actual cost of repairing your house, why would they actually do that? So, I cannot afford to replace everything that I lost and one of the things that I "skimped on" was the gym flooring. It doesn't have nearly the cushioning that the old "professional quality" floor that I had before. It has a little bit and protects the flooring beneath it, but I needed more cushioning IMO for how I use my gym. That is where this matt comes in! I can move this easily to where I want to use it if I need to stretch or use under my rowing machine in the Livingroom to keep the sweat from the wood flooring, or even under the Smith press bar in the main gym! With the "replacement gym floor" having a little cushioning and protecting the floor itself well, this large yoga mat provides that "extra" cushioning I want under my feet when exercising! At the time of review this us under $42 "on sale" from a regular price of under $50. At either price it is a good buy IMO because of its large size as compared to most larger yoga mats along with its thickness and quality. Read more

Let's start with the headline, this thing is huge! 6'x4'. I got the 6mm thick model, and it is truly a touch over 1/4". And while it's nominally a 4x6, it's actually a bit over that. Not a ton, but enough that you feel like you got what you paid for. The mat is double sided. The "grippy" side holds to the floor nicely. The user side pattern is mostly for show, I think . It's nice. Also as squishy as you'd expect a normal yoga mat to be. The color is a nice darkish grey. As for durability, I threw it down on my living room floor and walked all over like it wasn't there for two weeks. It didn't seem to wear at all. So I'm saying the durability is good. Last but not least, my favorite thing- This mat has almost no smell to it. It's amazing. Even right out of the box, I. had to get my nose right into it to smell anything at all. I am impressed. I could see using this for all sorts of activity! Yoga, work outs, all kinds of fun! "'Suspension!' he intoned, bellowing against rope intensely" All in all, a Solid (yet squishy) 5 Stars! It feels soft, thick and durable. I like that the material absorbs sweat on your palms, to help keep from slipping while posing. The cleaning aspect is easy! I use sanitizing wipes and it dries quickly. The carry strap is very handy because it is rather large than a traditional yoga mat. The size is great if you do a lot of stretching and floor work. I absolutely love and highly recommend! Read more

The size is great but it’s not as comfortable as other brands I use with the same thickness. I can easily feel the tiled floors underneath. Overall decent but not the best. I also wish it came with carry handles or straps. Read more

Delivers plenty of room, grip, and cushioning for barefoot exercise at home. ⸻ 👍 What I Like • Extra-large surface (6’×4’) This isn’t a narrow yoga mat — it’s wide and generous, perfect if you do yoga flows, Pilates, stretching, or floor workouts where you move around. Great for taller users or anyone who likes space. • Thick cushioning (6 mm) The extra padding makes a noticeable comfort difference for knees, hips, and back during longer holds or transitions. Ideal if you’re on hard floors. • Excellent non-slip grip Textured surface stays put even during sweaty sessions — both feet and hands feel secure in poses and planks. • Durable build Feels robust and resistant to wear — not flimsy or tear-prone. Easy to clean too, which matters when you’re working out daily. • Multipurpose mat Yoga, stretching, Pilates, bodyweight workouts, core work, mobility — this handles them all without feeling like a compromise. ⸻ 👎 What Could Be Better • Slight smell out of box Typical for thicker exercise mats — but it does air out in a day or two. • Bulkier to roll up More cushioning and wider size = takes up a bit more space in storage or a gym bag. ⸻ 🧘♂️ Real-World Use ✔️ Yoga sessions with plenty of space ✔️ Pilates & mobility flows ✔️ Core workouts & stretching ✔️ Barefoot at-home training If you like free movement and comfort, the big footprint is a real benefit — no stepping off the mat mid-flow. ⸻ ⭐ Overall Verdict The Stepwaver 6’×4’ × 6 mm Extra Large Yoga Mat is comfortable, stable, and versatile — perfect for home workouts where space and cushioning count. A great pick if you want more than a standard yoga mat. 4.3/5 — Recommended for home fitness enthusiasts. ✔️ Read more

This extra large mat is a game changer for anyone who needs more space during home workouts. At 6x4 it gives you enough room to stretch out fully without having to constantly readjust your position. The thickness is just right, not too bulky but still cushioned enough to protect joints during floor exercises. The surface has a solid nonslip grip which keeps it in place during yoga or bodyweight movements. It’s ideal for barefoot workouts and the material feels durable and supportive. Easy to clean and roll up, it’s defintely become a permanent part of my home workout setup. Read more

This mat is larger than usual and thick enough to provide adequate cushioning for vigorous exercise on hard floors. It lies flat and rolls up for portability. It stands up to constant relocation and unrolls flat. The mat itself holds up to a beating and stays flexible and tear resistant. It is a little more costly than the usual mat, but it promises to outlast thinner and less durable material in such a cheaper mat. I look forward to using it for years to come. Read more
