If you buy this scale, just be aware it comes without including batteries, so you'll need 2 AAA batteries before you can use. Very easy to use. No endless fiddling with settings. Just one setting for either kgs or lbs with a press of a button, and battery door is very easy to open. The display is large, and the voice reads out your weight as well, so great for those with vision issues who normally can't read the display on a scale. Voice is very robotic sounding, but it does the trick. Compared it against some other scales I have, and it reads true. Make sure you put it in the same location every day, because the platform feet are sensitive and if you're on an unlevel surface the weight may change or read differently. This is a great talking scale. I am visually impaired and have no usable vision so cannot read the screen on any scale. This talking scale makes it possible for me to check my weight. I also use it to measure the weight of heavier packages by first weighing myself and then weighing myself holding the package and subtracting my weight from the total weight of me and the package so I can ship things with accurate weights on them. it does announce the weight twice, which I don’t think is necessary, but it might be a useful feature for someone who did not hear the wait the first time. It is not terribly loud, but it is not quiet either. I thought it was going to be too loud based on the reviews, but the volume is perfect. There is no way to change the volume though. It weighs in both pounds and kilograms, and you can use the switch on the back to switch between the two. it is easy to use. If I had written this review when I first got it, it would have been glowing: pretty, speaks loud enough, etc. But I’ve had it for for a couple months now; long enough that it can’t be returned and it’s lost it’s glow. Started out great. I’d just started a weight loss program and have to weigh in daily. First month everything went great. Then I started noticing some big weight losses. I, of course, was thrilled! Then my weight would jump back up. Not so thrilled. One day after I had weighed myself, I had a medical appointment. They weighed me and of course it was way different than what the scale said. Slowly, the light came on. Came home and changed the batteries. Thought everything would be better. It’s been 1.5 weeks since I’ve put in new batteries and it’s doing the same thing. I’m tired of it.
