The media could not be loaded. So let me start by saying that if you are not comfortable opening your xbox then i wouldn't recommend this item. This has to be installed inside the console and right above the fan, not to close to the blades but close. I will say the instructions are pretty easy if you know what your doing. I used a heat gun to remove stickers over the screws. The circut board that controls the lights is thin enough to tuck away inside without it messing with anything or moving things. It does connect to the fans power supply and then fan connects to the circut board that it came with but doesn't turn off with the fan. The only way to shut them off is to shut the console down are use the remote. When you power it back on it will be on the setting you had it on last when you powered it off. Me personally since it points up i leave them on and it puts a light show on my ceiling. Its not bright enough to wake you up in the middle of the night. In my video its is hitting the wall because of the port whole in the back of the system but to me its still not a reason for me to turn them off. Also my fan runs normal like it always has there is no need to worry about it running different. It goes on and off like it was never even messed with. I’ve got upgraded controllers with their parts. I have lights on my Xbox series S from them so when I got my series X, I knew what I had to do . Love the way this kit looks, nice and bright and definitely an eyecatcher in the room. I will definitely continue to buy upgrades from eXtremeRate. This product was only recently installed but if the quality and reliability is the same as all of the other products I have then there’s no question that this will give me no issues. The only thing I had to do with both my kits for the series S and the series X is replace the battery in the remote on arrival because it was completely dead and if that’s the only issue I have, then I have no issues at all. The experience is great, the colors, the effects, the installation is easy... however there are two major issues here... #1 The light stays on while the console is off, you have to turn off the light with the remote every time you turn off the console. #2 stopped working in just a couple of weeks, I suspect after a system update. Alright so idk why people are complaining the lights don't shut off with the xbox. its literally running on the fan power, meaning if you turn energy saver on, the lights will shut off, as the console fan shuts off after a few minutes. This looks super nice, has a ton of different effects and is super easy to install. you can also change the brightness. The tape quality is not amazing but that can be fixed pretty easily. Overall, this is a super awesome product and hope to see more manufacturers add console customization like this in the future! Read more
