UPDATE: the plug stopped connecting to the WiFi within weeks of purchase. The app to control the plug is useless and often showed the plug was offline. Restarting/reconnecting/reinstalling failed each time and now the app doesn’t even identify available WiFi networks. No tech support either. DO NOT waste your money. (I’m going back to the old school timer outlet!) So far the plug and app are working perfectly. Very easy to download and register the device and convenient to set the timer schedule in the app as well. Will be buying more for other lamps in the house! Read more
It is nice to buy a product that is easy to installs, works perfectly, and does exactly what it claims to do. I had no trouble installing it onto my network and using it right away to provide a convenient remote control for a device that does not have one. Amazon Alexa worked immediately to control it by voice in addition to using the app. A great choice for a straightforward smartplug to add automation to any appliance or lamp. Read more
Followed the instructions and tried to get the units to connect on 5 different routers and was completely unsuccessful. The app just gives you error codes. I then purchased a GE CYNC smart plug (same price per unit) and was able to connect it to one of my same routers with nothing changed on my end and had it setup in 2 minutes. I think the manufacturer needs to workout software bugs this device. If they can help get their unit to work I will then write a great review. I should have saved the packing and requested a refund. Smart plugs have been around for a number of years with many large "clunky" looking designs...not very "fashion friendly." First impressions out of the box...this little guy is so small you probably won't even notice it! Holidays are coming so I will be using it to control the indoor Christmas tree lights. Try it! Easily connected with my boyfriends google mini. He just plugged it in and within minutes it was all set up. He connected it to control the lamp in his room. He now needs to just start remembering not to turn off the lamp by hand. Really good price for this wifi plug. He now feels like a king as before he felt like a mere peasant having to get up and turn it off by hand. Read more
