Will NOT RUST!!! Functions great
I'm still new to this, but I thought they ALL rusted and that was just the nature of the beast. Maybe it will rust over time, but every other one I've seen has to have the rust sanded off each day. Not this one. I definitely notice a difference in how well it turns the edge of my blades back. Great for high speed swine or beef slaughter lines! It was worth the extra money. Worth the money.
I have purchased a few honing tools in my career. That is one of my favorite that I have found so far. It’s an amazing product and it get sharpen even the dullest and most neglected knifes in my kitchen, due to not having the best of the best till this time. The tip of the steel is magnetic to ensure consistent contact, and the magnetism fades as you get closer to the handle to allow for an easy separation of the blade and steel. I've been a cutter and break down my own deer, and by far the best honing steel I've used to date. After years and years of using rough steels and constantly having to run through it a few times, it gets old.
