I've been wet shaving (using a DE safety razor) for about 10 years, and this is hard to argue against. I've used it nearly daily for over a year, it is fantastic. Perfect shaves every time, not too much for my sensitive skin and cuts through my course thick hair no problem. The blades are my personal favorite and the best I have ever used. I started with their open blade razor to shave others and I liked the blades so much I bought this one too and I've been blown away. Never cuts me, but never misses a hair either. I've also bought a couple as gifts, and maybe kept a few of the blades for myself. At this price point ($10) the quality of this product is just outstanding and the value of the 50 blades (2,3 shaves per blade ate least) is mind blowing. This is a nicely crafted and finished safety razor that does a decent job of shaving, although I do still get some cuts and razor burn from time to time. I’ve been using safety razors for 10+ years, so I’m pretty well aware of the technique needed for best results. For example, I change to a new blade every two shaves, no exceptions. I try to avoid pressing down and/or going against the grain, although it is not always possible. When time permits, I will use a hot, wet towel to pre-soften the beard, although that isn’t the norm due to time constraints. I use a quality shave cream, CREAMO CREAM, which comes in a plastic tube, like toothpaste, and offers a high lubricity. I sometimes pre-apply SHAVE SECRET, a proprietary oil for shaving. This is a good razor by FACON, especially considering the asking price, which is in the “budget” price point. So, for most guys, this may work good, very well or even extremely well. I’ve been using it for a month and I can say it is good, but that is about it. Can I recommend this? YES! It works well enough, especially considering the cost. Oh, and they give you 50 blades, which is really nice and appreciated. Thanks FACON! I’ve had German chromed MERKUR razors that cost multiples of this one and even they weren’t perfect.
