Replacing 2 year old "high-end" 9006 LED bulbs that have recently developed very noisy cooling fans. These new Fahren 5th-gen is a definite step-up in several ways: -- compact form factor with no separate power transform pack makes for very simple installation -- very quiet fans, though this is a direct compare with worn 2 year old LED lamps -- more neutral color temp -- the old "high-end" LED lamps were listed at 6500K like these Fahren's, but the new Fahren's are warmer than the cool white from the old lamps, which actually makes objects appear more natural and easily discernable. Should be more effective in dark rainy conditions. -- the new Fahren's are noticeably brighter than my previous "100K 22000LM Extremely Bright" LEDs -- best of all: the beam pattern. Installed in an old 2003 Camry and ever since using LED replacements, I have never found the beam pattern to have the sharp cutoff (to prevent glare) that OEM Halogens provide. These new Fahrens have just about restored the clean cutoff and provide a wide, consistent light spread on the ground without sporadic dark areas. My 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan originally came with halogen headlights. I wanted an improvement years ago so I purchased various different HID systems. I recently decided that an upgrade to LED was a good option considering I’d swapped out my 2018 Ford Edge from HID‘s to Fahren LED’s earlier this year. When choosing these bulbs, I decided to get the brightest bulbs I available from Fahren and these fit the bill. What is really impressive to me is how simple and easy they are to install versus the complexity that HID bulbs require. They are literally a plug-in play replacement for the original halogen and with far superior brilliance. I only installed these bulbs in the low beam. For comparison, I have attached several pictures that show the before lighting with halogen and the after pictures with the new Fahren LEDs. It is very easy to see, from the photos, the color difference from the old halogen to the new LEDs not to mention the dramatic improvement in visual field. One photo shows the front of my car with the old halogen and the new LED. The issue I’ve had in the past with HID headlights is flicker which required an upgraded ballast. These bulbs have no flicker, just pure clean white light. If you’re looking for an excellent replacement for any previous version of headlight bulbs, this is a great choice. Read more
