I got these for an upcoming Barbie costume party and they will be perfect for that. The quality is not awesome, but good enough. Also, they are too long, but I plan on just cutting the bottoms off to size. They aren't hemmed anyway! So if you are worried about that, don't be. WOW! Statement pants are apparently in very on trend for 2023 and although I don't like to follow trends necessarily, I will if it's something I like. And I do *love* the gold color I ordered! These are wide and flowy. I used to work for Ralph Lauren corporate in NYC and these honestly look like the type of old Hollywood glam RL is known for and something you would see on the Ralph Lauren Collection runway for $1-2k (of course these are a much more affordable polyester, "fast fashion" version). You can therefore pair these with nicer bags, blazer and shoes and they will look way more expensive. They aren't really something you can dress down or hide in. They are very glam showstopper pants so watch out! You WILL get noticed!! These would also be a really fun variation for a Cleopatra or genie Halloween costume and they sort of have Greek goddess vibes when paired with a white one shoulder top, gladiators and arm bracelet. Gold lame typically sort of screams older, imo but I'm 41 and these are fun so I thought I would try them out at least for the holidays as something different than I usually wear. I live in cold Colorado so I will probably wear leggings underneath as these aren't very warm. In cold weather, I think it's sort of a welcome change though from dresses that you can't easily hide warmth beneath unless you wear those fleece lined tights that are so restricting. I might have to look for a black fuzzy cropped turtleneck sweater or something to pair with it. Black and gold is so classy, imo. I would consider wearing these on a fancy date for a special occasion but I've never considered wearing it with a crop top as pictured in the listing. That is definitely one way to make these seem less matronly and more trendy, young and fun. I only wish the waistband were more smooth and not ruched. I got these for a music festival and they were perfect! I bought them in the color pink and it is such a pretty color. The material and style of the pants were super comfortable and easy to wear for long hours in both warm and cold temperatures. I am 5'4" about 150 pounds and the large fit me perfectly!
