I mistaking my bought this thinking it was tapioca pearls, I know my mistake I bought these late at night. However I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think I would like them but they literally just taste like popping versions of tapioca pearls. Like a brown sugar taste. I saw a review saying it tasted like chemicals and while I could in hindsight see how someone tastes that, the brown sugar overrides it. I use it with taro milk tea and they go so good together. They’re strong enough so that when you pour ice on top they don’t break easily but super easy to break when biting. I honestly could see myself purchasing these again when I run out since they’re ready to put in the cup just like that (tapioca pearls you have to boil and I don’t want to do that lol). I would honestly give these a try if you like tapioca pearls but don’t want to go through the hassle of making them, they’re a good ready to serve and delicious alternative! Read more
These are repulsive. There’s citric acid in them, which would work well with fruit flavors, but not brown sugar! I didn’t realize this when I purchased them, obviously. Just imagine brown sugar flavor with the tartness of lemon and you have an idea of the taste… but then also imagine it tasting of chemicals, not nature. Ugh. Disgusting. I thought maybe it was just me, so I had my husband (whom we call The Garbage Disposal because he eats things the rest of us would rather throw out) try them. He called them “inedible” and ranted about how you can’t mix citric acid into a non-fruit treat and still have it taste good. He agreed that they also taste of chemicals and kind of like plastic. Not the texture, but the taste. I try not to leave bad reviews unless I feel like the company deserves it. Most sellers are just trying to sell their products and will give you a refund or replacement if you get an item you truly dislike. Since you can’t return or replace this item I’m leaving this review instead. Go ahead and order the fruit flavors — I haven’t tasted them, but I imagine they’re tasty despite the citric acid, but gosh… I wouldn’t attempt any non-fruit bobas. I shudder remembering the taste. I make a lot of iced coffee drinks as well as chai teas and Matcha. I wanted to add something fun and these brown sugar pearls did the trick! They’re not too sweet and just enough flavor to add a little bit of fun to any drink that you’re making. You will need Boba straws to get these up. I would highly recommend them to anybody who likes to take a chance with making drinks, fun. Read more

You don't have to prepare or cook these. These boba pearls can be scooped right into a beverage or on a dessert. Refrigerate after opening. These are as good as the kind in drinks that cost the same as one pound of Fanale boba pearls. They fit easily thru larger [milk shake?] straws. I like the Brown Sugar flavor, but will be ordering other flavors too. Read more
Honestly this was not good at all. It has a weird after taste when it pops in your mouth. I did not like that feeling at all. It’s drenched in brown sugar syrup but the boba itself doesn’t taste like brown sugar. I did not like the texture at all. The size of the container is decent enough, but very cheaply made and if you hold it just so it sloshes out. It was not thick at all and very watery. Very disappointed. Read more
Gross! These have a really terrible flavor. Its not just fake sweet flavoring its like a tingy taste. They are slimy as well. So when they pop you get a burst of slime and bad flavor. Read more
It has the traditional brown sugar flavor as a vape pen from 2010 reminds me of when vape would advertise the Tobacco flavor and you'd get this flavor. It's not bad and it's not my favorite, would go good in a fruit salad or on ice cream. Wasn't bad in my ice coffee but it definitely not an American Brown Sugar flavor. Read more
