This plus size women’s dress is really lovely and surprisingly versatile. I love the collared neckline because it gives the dress a slightly dressy, business casual feel, but it can easily be styled more casually as well. The tie waist is one of my favorite features. You can cinch it in and tie it into a cute bow, which gives a flattering silhouette without feeling restrictive. I chose the dress in the forest green shade, and it truly works year round. It would be perfect for the holidays, but it could also transition beautifully into spring and summer depending on how you style it with shoes and jewelry. The material is soft and stretchy, which is a huge plus. I am bigger busted and this fits comfortably in the chest without feeling tight or squished, which is something I often struggle with in dresses that have stiffer fabrics. The stretch makes it much more forgiving and comfortable to wear all day. Pockets are always a win, and this dress has them. The length hits right around my knees, and I’m about 5’6”. It feels like a very appropriate length and not too short, even when bending over. Depending on your height and proportions, it may run a little longer or shorter, but overall the length feels well balanced. What I appreciate most is the size inclusivity. This dress goes all the way up to a 5XL, which you honestly do not see often. It truly feels designed for plus size bodies rather than just being sized up from a smaller pattern. I really like the style and fit of this dress! The material is loose and heavy enough that it does not wrinkle ever. This means it is perfect for packing and traveling. It is very comfortable and I really like the sapphire blue color. I wore it to a Christmas party and dressed it up with some jewelry. The dress has pockets and I was able to keep my keys and my phone in my pocket without it showing. The cloth belt that you try around your waist could be tied in the back or in the front or off to the side. I have not tried washing this yet, but I will wash in a laundry bag as I am terrified to snag any of the fibers because it would ruin the beautiful quality of the dress. This can easily be worn with a sweater. I did not wear a slip. Getting in and out of my car I did pick up static electricity and it clung to my legs (drier conditions in winter time). You may be able to dress this up more for work, cocktails, or a nice dinner party, but it is more on the casual side in terms of style. I think it's the collar and short sleeves combination that makes it feel more casual. It kind of gives me tennis dress vibes. It does fit well and give a nice shape, especially for curvier figures. The belt is also a nice touch to accentuate the waistline, but the belt and fabric do not have any tummy control. It fits to your natural shape, not tight just fitted, and flows nicely but it won't hide belly or midsection weight, and that's a must for me. This Africsn Pride dress has the red, black, and yellow colors. I love that it has that A-line dress design where the dress pops out. The best part about this dress is the pockets.
