OK so I got this for my husband because he has done a ton of carpentry work with his father for years, and since I was little, I worked with my dad with some carpentry things, typically flooring, however. Well, we like to build some things ourselves. We bought a lot of supplies here on Amazon and built our own standing desk with some other supplies we got from the lumberyard. So we love to build things that was just not even our latest project, but it's the one that we continue to get the most compliments on. Ok, fast forward to a few weeks ago. We have this idea for a building some shelves and redoing the storage in our garage, and then also in our closet and also the utility room. So we use this on our utility room to get started because that was the biggest thing that we really needed to tackle first. And let me tell you this thing worked really great because we have a stackable washer and dryer, but there was a big long shelf that went across and wasn't installed very well. So we pulled that down and we put the dryer on top of the washing machine. Got that nice and secure, but then needed to be able to keep everything square on the wall for the new half-wall shelving. Using this tool we were able to measure everything and everything is nice and level. It looks so nice, and it solid. We started in on the closet and it's looking really good. Now we decided to go ahead (because some bad weather is coming) and get part of the garage redone so we can get both of our cars parked in there again this weekend. So that's the next thing that we're gonna start with this afternoon, but we are super happy because we've been able to get so much done in such a little amount of time. Whereas before we'd have to do a lot of pausing to remeasure check the level, etc. You know all those things we were able to cut down the amount of time in those details. It's so great how you're able to store the measurements so you know which measurement is for what. This thing is nearly perfect. There's a couple more features that my husband wishes that it had, however, for what you get in this for the value, it is worth it as is. And I'm talking about just some creature features that are not important but would be cool. That said if you look at the description, you can see all of the different features that this thing has and see if it will work for you. I've seen a lot of similar ones on social media that sell a lot of of these types of measuring tools, but they don't hold a candle to this thing. This is a way better deal, and I'm noticing this brand in particular has done us very well. We own four other items from the brand and they have all exceeded my expectations and that of my husband. Oh, and let me tell you that the accuracy is so good. If you knew the extreme detail that my husband and father-in-law have for absolute perfect angles, you wouldn't even think twice someone just get this thing immediately. I am telling you I have never seen two men with such perfect attention to detail. I love that I was able to get this for my husband and I to use because it has made things so much easier. Plus, so easy to charge. It's under one of the switches just flip it back and then you can plug it into charge. Such a smart design. Absolutely worth it. Read more

Full disclosure: I got this sample for free to test. However, let me be clear, I wasn’t about to handle it with kid gloves or pull any punches. When I first saw the A11 Ultra, I thought, “cool, cool, cool,” and kept my expectations generally modest. Afterall, I've had generally good experiences with Fanttik's stuff in the past, but I’ve also been burned by other laser measuring gadgets. Then I saw the price tag of $140, did a double take, and my expectations instantly skyrocketed into the stratosphere! I’m mostly pretty old school with my measuring tools, and my last attempt with a competing laser tool was so mediocre I feel it frankly deserves a formal apology. So the big question: is the Fanttik A11 Ultra actually worth my weight in Gold‑Pressed Latinum? Short answer: yes. Loudly and enthusiastically yes! This thing is packed with genuinely useful features, and I won't regurgitate the entire feature list because Fanttik's marketing folks already did that for us. (How kind of them, right?!) Instead, here’s what matters to me. The good: -Bright, crisp screens, and yes, there are two of them! They are touch screens and are actually very responsive. No slowdowns! -The wheel makes curved measurements almost laughably easy -Accuracy right out of the box -You can add an offset if you need to tune it back into spec -Three measurement reference points (front, center, or rear), with on‑screen reminders so you always know which end your numbers are coming from -Can calculate room size, volume, and even acts like a calculator when needed -Saves your measurement history for reference -Angle measurements for days -Tripod mount on the back for extra stability and precision The bad: -It’s solid and well built, but not truly rugged. It'd be more at home with a well-stocked DIYer than full‑on construction site level abuse. -The second screen on the side feels underutilized. I've actually only found one test that makes any use of it, so this feels like a wasted opportunity. -The price hurts at first glance, but once you use it, the value is obvious. -Refuses to wash the pile of dishes in my sink no matter how motivational my tone is. :p Would I initially have bought this on my own if it hadn’t been provided? Honestly, I do not know anything about this company, but the price looks decent and I've always wanted a laser measuring tool to make life's projects a bit easier. It is really easy to use and set up. I don't think I even needed the instructions when I used it, only referencing them after to ensure I knew everything it could do. Speaking of what it can do, it's amazing. I love that it's not only a laser measuring tool of distance, but you can also measure a room's area and volume. The measuring wheel is also amazing! I didn't even know I wanted something that had a measuring wheel until I got it. This allows you to easier measure point to point distance on a curved or weird shaped object or floor. Then to add even more value, there's a digital level built in and a little screen on the side that pops up when using it. Plus, a bubble level on the main screen if you set it down on the back side. When measuring distance with the laser, you can choose to measure from the front of the device or include the device in the measurement, great for different scenarios of measurement. The touchscreen is responsive and works well, you never know if the touchscreen on an unknown brand is going to be terrible or not, luckily it worked well and I didn't have any issues. The only thing I would let people know, is to make sure the surface you're pointing the laser at isn't reflective or have an odd, tweaked angle to it. It didn't happen a lot, but sometime the measurement needed to be taken more than once to get an accurate distance. All in all, great price, packed with features, and works well. Read more
