Wanted an alternative to brand names which often are way too expensive. Gave this one a shot and it's been working well for me for music and movie backs. Good speed for transfering files but not the fastest that's out there of course with much higher cost. Read more

Used this as a Skyrim mods storage disk, so that's many many reads and writes of files of varying size. Now discovering that out of my 1800+ stored mods, at least 100 are kicking back CRC errors. CHKDSK comes back clean, these files are just being written badly. I could see this disk being useful as long term storage for semi-important files, or short term storage for large portable files, but as a long term solution for multiple reads and writes, it's very poor. I am using this external SSD for file storage from my 1 TB storage laptop computer. It works very well and file transfer speed is quite acceptable when using the USB C connection. I currently have used just a bit over half of the 2TB storage capacity and have not had any issues. Read more
