Farberware Never Needs Sharpening High-Carbon Stainless Steel Knife Block Set with Non-Slip Handles 18 Piece Black

I bought this item because years ago in a brick and mortar store, I bought a dozen of only the steak knives. Decades later they have held up great and still cut well, but three of the knives have gone MIA. Because I couldn't find just the steak knives sold separately anywhere to buy as replacements, I bought this set, even though I really didn't want or need the other items it incudes. Anyway, I wasn't sure what the quality would be like all these decades later, but it appears to be just as good. I was also pleasantly surprised by the selection of other items in the set, and I'm sure I'll find use for them. I should add that I've rarely washed these knives in a dishwasher, and usually wash them by hand. As I remember from my first purchase, you need to handle these very carefully while they're still new. The blades are razor blade sharp and dangerous to touch. Luckily, with continued use they lose that extreme razor blade sharpness, but still cut just as well. Until then, be careful. This is an excellent set of cutlery at a bargain price. Would love to be able to buy just a set of twelve steak knives, and I would love to buy these knives with white handles. Read more

The old adage ( You get what you pay for) is true. I have to admit, I cheaper out on this knife set and, although functional, the knives are thin and a bit flimsy. Be careful cutting anything tough as they may bend. They do look good on my counter and the wood block holder was stained. An unexpected, but pleasant surprise! Read more

Well, these knives cut stuff, but not very well. I bought these for my gf and I’s new apartment. They’re subpar. If you cook a fair amount and have any prep skills, these knives will drive you crazy. They’re serrated and rust pretty easily. Head out to Ross/Marshalls and grab a better quality set for just as cheap. Read more
