Really like the look of the piece. My Betta super picky and loves his little huts that he will guard the door so his roommates the panda corydoras can’t get in so I upgraded to this large size one. It did have some sharp glue substance that we had to remove that was used to hold the airline. It had been in his tank for months then all of sudden he decided to swim up the chimney where the line goes through and I’m super thankful my partner was home cleaning Bokeh tank or my Nemo koi boy would’ve been a goner for sure. I’ve tried hammocks, plants, see thru tunnels etc but he just loves his ceramic houses so we put back his smaller one back that doesn’t have narrowing holes. Great value for you money but would recommend using aquarium safe silicone or super glue to fill in the inside chimney hole top and bottom so your fishes don’t try to swim through it. Nicely weighted just make sure you have long enough tubing to fit in the place that made for the line go through on the side of the house or it won’t sit flush with the ground. Does blend well with natural colors which I was trying go more of natural habitat for him since he prefers a house trying create a hobbit inspired look with adding moss to the top of the roof. It looks great in my 75 gallon aquarium, which is Lord of the Rings themed. I set up 3 distinct biomes in my tank, Bag End of the Shire, the Mist Mountains, and Mordor. It's been in my fresh water aquarium for 2 years with no changes to the paint. My only complaint is that, due to the shape of the ceiling inside the unit, you have to make sure you thoroughly wedge the house into the substrate, otherwise an air pocket builds up and the house floats. The media could not be loaded. I bought this item thinking it would look great in my 10 gallon tank and based on some of the reviews. It came fast and I cleaned it before putting it in the tank. Set up was easy. It worked well and made the tank look good. Bubbler worked well. Unfortunately, my goldfish got stuck in the chimney. Guess he swam in the opening and the force of the bubbler pushed him up in the chimney but he was a bit too big to get out. I found him in time before it was too late and got him out. He was bruised. See white spot on his head, and I hope would heal well. Be careful with this ornament. I improvised and blocked both openings with the green back of sponge to prevent a future tragedy. It's cute, arrived in good condition, I will say if your using this for a fish with sensitive fins, the inside edges are sharp. We got this for one of our bettas. We had to file down the interior edges or it would've injured our fishes fins. So keep that in mind and check it before adding. Other than that, 10/10 Read more
