These are true to size, however the cut might be too high/uncomfortable for kids with sensory issues. The prints are cute and the material is really soft. If there is a better cut I would/will order again. They seem like they just cover the butt, but the high cut leg opening and top hem are too high for my child's comfort level. I learned the hard way you have to size up in Feathers. She's a typical size 11 and again, I got the 14 and after two washings and dryings, they fit perfectly. The colors are both feminine and not loud color-wise. That is key to not show through leggings so easily. The elastic waistband and legs aren't the type that digs in. It is wrapped in soft cotton.
