I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist which causes me discomfort when I try and sleep. I continually wake up due to my hand being completely numb. I have about six different wrist braces that I try and use to help with limited success. This is the best one so far. No numbness at all. This did the job and I think the only complaint I have is this is a small medium and I’m a larger girl so at first I didn’t think this would fit well but then when I properly learned to put it on, it did fit and it was not too tight however, if I could size up, I think I would be much more comfortable, but the Velcro works very well and it keeps my wrist straight and does what it needs to do so for that I will give it a good rating and would recommend to someone starting out with something to see if this is the right fit for them. I have just developed carpal tunnel in my right wrist, and the pain was keeping me up all night. I'm new to it all and was in tears at what's happening to me that I can't write anymore, can't button shirts, tie shoelaces, etc. Someone told me to get a wrist brace to wear overnight to at least be able to sleep, so I ordered this one, just for my one wrist. Oh my goodness, this thing totally immobilizes my wrist. I don't feel any pain at all during the night, and I'm able to sleep. It's solidly secure with three sturdy velcro straps wrapping around the hand, wrist and forearm. It's comfortable, too. This is a solid 5 stars for me and I recommend it if you're suffering from carpal tunnel or anything where you need to have your wrist stable and immobilized. Being a cake decorator at a large chicago grocer, I was recently told that the numbness in my fingers and excruciating pain in my wrist and arm were due to carpel tunnel nerve damage. I was told to mobilize my wrist with a brace, and this brace has helped. I tried less expensive braces that were less cumbersome, but this brace was the best! I purchased one for my right wrist too, as it also gives me trouble from time to time.
