I bought the 44lb set due to the types of weights included and the adjustable way you can move things around. I am not a fitness freak and just trying to get in shape more. This system is made of plastic, but it is a high quality plastic. It feels sturdy and solid! Everything is included in the pictures as is, but I wish they had included a second kettle base rod. The second handle for the kettle base is pretty much on its own since it doesn't have a place to go (unless you use it on a dumbbell or as a handle for pushups). Having a way to use two kettle bases at once would have been nice, or at least a way to store the last bit of weights so they are not loose. The yellow nuts are solid plastic and very sturdy. They screw on with no trouble and the threads on the entire system is of excellent quality. The weights on the dumbbells have not moved a cm since I got this a week ago. You will have an extra nut laying around due to the lack of a second kettle base. You could double up on one end of the dumbbells, or it will be used if you use less than 4 weights on the kettle base (needed to support the bottom). The barbell foam connector is nice and thick too. It is shaped in a rounded triangular pattern which allows for more stability. The only other thing I would improve upon is to provide both metric and imperial/standard systems on the weights. We can do the conversion easily online, but those of us here in the US cannot really fathom the difference between a kg compared to a lb. Although, I guess this will help us learn how to convert from kilograms to pounds. Overall, the entire system here is highly recommended and a quality set for the price. The plastic is really sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. I can only guess on whether there is a steel rod inside each bar (and if it is as thick as they say). Bought initially for my husband, but we both have gotten plenty of use from it. Love all the different ways you can use the weights and how easily you can store them away. Great beginning weights set, easily adjustable. Only issue I've seen so far is the plastic bolts do come loose, but it's easy to tighten them back. Read more

I’ve been using this for a few months. I think this is a fantastic set for starters. I’m getting back into my weight loss journey and this has been a great addition to making my home gym. It doesn’t take up a lot of space which is a plus since I live in a 1 bedroom apartment. The barbell clips unscrew a little during not enough to cause major issues when working out. If you’re not a beginner I recommend getting there a heaviest weight set. Read more

Bought this for my 13 year old because he wants to start lifting. He needs time to work with lower weights to get proper form so I didn’t want to spend anything crazy. This is a really nice set for him to start with. It feels nice and sturdy and the weight plates are easy to change out. I ordered the 88 lb set, delivery was delayed but it arrived. The box was torn open and misshapen. One of the kettle bell handles and 2 of the keeper nuts were smashed. Amazon gave me a partial refund at my request and I ordered the 48 lbs set to replace the broken pieces and add a little extra weight. The second set arrived, nothing was broken, but it only came with 3 of the 4 keeper nuts. At this point I have a usable set, barely. The weight plates are filled plastic and come in a variety of sizes/weights. Everything seems of fair to good quality. I have yet to test anything at it's full weight capacity though and being plastic I'm worried the bats won't be able to handle it. Read more

Love this set for working out at home. I’m new to the gym and sometimes being in there with a bunch of people can be overwhelming so I got this bc it would allow me to do my workout from home. It’s affordable, the barbell attachment provides great comfort, I love the versatility & how easy it is to set up or switch weights out. Can be stored in a small area so it doesn’t take up much room. I would recommend this to beginners. If you’re already weight training and you’re used to very heavy weights, this isn’t for you. **the only issue I’ve had with it is when I attached the dumbbell pieces to the middle barbell piece, part of the inner piece popped out (you can see it pictured) not sure if it’s gonna be a longterm issue but it worked as normal and I was able to pop the piece back in. the weights are fine, but the bars that holds the weight, not so much. the connecting coupling between the weights and the bar just came lose. i almost hurt myself during a work out. now i won't be able to attach the weights on the long bar. build quality is definitely bad. giving the fact that i spend this much and didn't even last for 6 months. best to look for a traditional one piece construction for the bar.
