So far, so good! If you use heel lock type shoe lacing to keep feet from sliding forward in a shoe (keeping the heel in the back of the shoe where it belongs), this can cause lacing discomfort on the top of your foot instep area. A foot doctor suggested these "tongue" pads. They work pretty good! I have noticed a significant decrease in instep discomfort where upper lacing goes over the top of your foot on the top area of the instep (don't know the name...I'm not a doctor).
