I was very pleasantly surprised by this little treasure chest. It is made from some kind of metal, heavy and sturdy. It is not flimsy. I saw that some reviewers had a different of opinion on the size of the box they received. The one that I received was just under three inches long. It could sit nicely in the palm of your hand. It's a pretty little thing, not cheap looking. It has nice details on it. The colors are a bright beautiful gold. Some parts are a bright shiny gold and others a nice shimmery matt finish. Its super cute! Let's start with that. It doesn't have a lock or space to put a lock on it so if that's important to you, then this may not be what you want. I got the larger one and the dimensions aren't accurate. This box is bigger than described. It was supposed to be something like 3.75 by 2 point something by 2 point something (length/width/height). It was actually about 4 inches by 3 inches by 3 inches again length/width/height. So the slightly larger than expected size was awesome. The inside crinkles a little bit because of the material underneath the velvet. Not a problem to me though. The velvet bit I'm touching in the pic wasn't entirely glued down so it could be ripped by little fingers. Just be careful. All in all, I'm happy with this. Happy enough to take the 10 or so minutes to write this review. This thing is actually sturdier on the outside though. Like if I threw it at someone's head, they might actually get a concussion from it. And the little animal head on the side makes me think it's supposed to be like a hybrid of a lion, a boar, and Rafiki from the lion king cartoon movie. ❤️ Absolutely stunning! the larger one is best for multiple pieces of jewelry except bangles and can hold quite a bit. I was reluctant to purchase the item because i wasn’t quite sure how it would actually look, but to my amazement, it is as golden, weighty, beautiful and luxurious as a real 24k gold bar; (seriously) and it would make a fantastic gift for anyone.
