Admittedly, I've only had this desk for about 8 hours now. I'll start with delivery and assembly. Delivery was surprisingly fast, showed up the day that was advertised at checkout. Assembly was quick and easy, if you can use a Philips head screwdriver and an Allen key, you should be fine. As for the build quality, I was very impressed. The desk is very sturdy when in the seated position. When standing up, it becomes a little bit less sturdy but hardly noticeable. I did shake it a couple times to test the wobble and didn't really notice it while standing for several hours. I like the pre-sets as this saves a lot of time when transitioning back and fourth. My work standing desk didn't have this feature and it was a pain to figure out exactly the right position. I did couple this with the Vivo monitor stand to support my dual monitor setup. This turned out pretty well and allowed for more available desk space when monitors are lifting up. Another thing to mention, I did not purchase a standing mat or one of those wobble one's. I would highly recommend that as I've been standing for several hours and am just getting kind of bored with it. Oh, I forgot about the drawer, this isn't something you're gonna be storing heavy stationary or other large items in but for pens and a stapler, it does just fine. This was easy to assemble although give yourself some time because it has quite a few parts. We forgot to measure the doorway and had to take the feet off and put them back on once we moved the unit into our son's room. It was a game changer for a kid who needs to be in constant motion while learning remotely. We paired it with a bar stool on wheels so he can sit and stand anytime he needs and the wheels make it super easy to move the desk so he can use it for recording play auditions without rearranging all the furniture to find a blank wall. The quality is great! The little drawer is a lightweight construction and works well for the light school supplies that kids or adults need like some extra pens and pencils and a ruler. Do not expect that drawer to hold a lot. You could attach an undershelf drawer that hooks onto the desk but honestly, this desk works just fine for an adult or teen. Highly recommend. Worth the price and the effort to assemble was literally 45 minutes once we laid out all the pieces and made sure we knew what went where. One note is that the cord holder and the drawer hangers are soft metal and they come with perforated edges that make it super easy to fold them into place. While my husband went to find a proper vice to bend the metal, I carefully folded the metal along those perforated seams and it worked. The instructions don't really tell you that, so it is easy to make the assembly harder than it needs to be. The image shows the controller on the right and it is actually on the left on our unit but our son is left handed so that works well for him and honestly, how often are you really going to be moving the height up and down on a day. This is a great desk. I followed the Youtube instructions for assembly and didn't have any issues putting it together. It is nice looking, sturdy and works well. My only suggestion would be not to install the drawer. Read more
This desk is fine for what I need. It holds a dual-monitor setup with a mini-pc and a few peripherals, and the movement up and down is smooth and seems great. The desk top is cheap particle board with a thin laminate finish, in two long skinny slabs, one in front, one in back. It's also pretty thin. If you intend to screw a keyboard tray or a cord management basket into it, your screws will need to be pretty short. If you were rough at all with this desk it'd probably fall apart, but be gentle and don't overload it and it should be fine. The packaging the desk arrived in could have been better. There were plastic corner guards taped on the outside of the box that were almost all ripped off and gone when we got it. The interior of the box also didn't have much padding. One corner was a little mashed, and it was enough to damage the desk slabs, as shown in the photos. It wasn't enough damage for me to want to send it back, but it's a bit disappointing. Other than the damage, everything has been fine. Assembly was fine, no mis-aligned holes as others have reported. No need to modify anything. It's a little wobbly when at standing height, as you might expect from a cheap standing desk, but it's really not bad. We've been using it for almost two months and it's been great. Read more
