Historically I have hated working with edge paints because they are usually messy streaky and a total pain to get right. When I ordered this I thought it was a dye and when I opened it to my disappointment I realized it was edge paint. I almost tossed it on the shelf but figured I already bought it so I might as well try it. To my surprise it actually worked better than any edge paint I have ever used. It goes on smooth dries quickly and does not leave me fighting with clumps or streaks. Once it sets it sands easily and polishes up with a really nice semi gloss finish that looks like I put way more effort into it than I actually did. The color is strong the coverage is consistent and it flexes well without cracking. I was not expecting to be impressed but now this has become my go to edge paint. What started as me accidentally buying the wrong thing has turned into a product I will probably stick with as my only option moving forward. This stuff is great. I applied one coat of this on my shoes the day after I received it. That has been over a month ago and I still haven't had to recoat them. Be advised, this does NOT come with an applicator. I had to order some wool daubers to apply this. I initially used an old t-shirt but cleaning it off my fingers was a real task. Be sure to protect everything around the work area from accidental spillage. If you plan to use a cloth, be sure to wear protective gloves. This edge dressing will stain your skin. Had a few wallets that had their edges starting to peel. Was able to remove the old edging and clean and apply edging. Make sure to clean the edges before applying. In some areas, I applied a layer, and used a fan to quickly dry the area before reapplying for a thicker more even look. Offers great protection. Used this from recommendations from some pros for my fretboard. Stained let it sit 15 minutes took alcohol and wiped off. 2 coats got the look I was after. Easy enough and looks phenomenal. Many different uses. Took maybe a capful to do my coats on this. Read more
