The Fifine Ampligame AM6 is a fantastic mic! The amount of features surprised me for how budget friendly it is. The packaging kept everything safe and the mic itself is BEAUTIFUL. It looks very clean and would look amazing in any setup. The mic was easy to set up, pretty much plug and play. The sound is crisp and the noise cancelling feature works very well! I had my fan on in the back and you couldn’t hear it. My fave feature is def the mute button which is perfect for my loud family. I also love the different color modes it comes with. I’ve been using the AM6 for my ASMR videos, and I’m really impressed with how good it sounds straight out of the box. I didn’t have to mess with any filters or settings in OBS. It’s basically ready to use right away. The audio is clean, crisp, and clear, which makes a big difference for soft sounds. It also picks up detail really well without adding much background noise. This is my second mic from this same company and I love them both. It’s very easy to use and I love the mute button on the top. The sound quality is great - I use it for work meetings and have had zero complaints. It does seem to also do a great job at keeping the background noise level at a minimum as well. I run a big fan next to my desk and you cannot hear it at all. As far as functionality, I think if you’re looking for a basic plug and play mic this is a great option, and a great value for money. This is a good microphone if you're using the AUX port and utilizing all of the different features. A gripe I have is with the side angle adjustment knob - it gets loosened pretty easily so you'll have to readjust the angle from time to time. I've found that it's best with the gain maxed out at all times, and the audio quality is top-notch, especially if you're using this with a boom arm/have it close to your mouth. The noise-reduction setting lowers the recording quality significantly, but it does a decent job of keeping unwanted noise out. I'd only use that setting if you're constantly in an environment with a lot of background noise. This is a great entry-level mic if you're using the AUX port with headphones/headset - otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't going to be fully utilizing the features that come with it. You can use the game/voice chat knob only if you're using the AUX port with your headphones/headset. The recording quality alone makes it a great choice, and the overall build quality is good. update2025 1. twitch sounds like underwater, at least that's the complaint. 2. Discord is underwater 3 Obs drops the mic when streaming especial when trying to out yo a virtual audio cable> 4. Picks Chrome and Bluetooth speakers up for no reason.. (outdated driver and mic software most likely. 5.no compatible with virtual audio cable a b or c. 6. perfect for audacity. and has lasted long then other mics 7. no balance between compression and non-compression,(compression gain sis super low Failings: 1. Still has no tonal pickup for autism vocal box 2. no built-in tonal isolation for us Freddy Mercury voice box types(4 tonal frequencies broadcast at once ( broadcast baritone, tenor, soprano and falsetto at the same time,.) 2b: no pitch frequency setting built in 3. Not compatible with Auburn Graillon 3 and sometimes malfunctions with Pitch Perfect 2 4. doesn't save last used state when windows is turned of and on again. ( stomes the rbg will reset, it will unmute itself 5. Discord and Twitch are underwater sounds, OBS/ Twitch VST mic modifications don't work( it makes the mic sound too lund or under water. 6. autism and 4-tone broadcast fault explained: Note for Fifine DEVs: (these faults are supposedly fixed in Fifine AM8 PROT and in the sound mixer: so when and if I have the funds as a permanently poor streamer, i will buy , update, and test. (Yes, i wasted a lot of money on other mics when Fifine is clearly superior) My pitch is -.28 to about - 1. 68 for my baritone, tenor, and soprano. my soprano and falsetto can pitch from +.10 to about .28 since i have what known as a 4 tone base( baritone, tenor, soprano, Falsetto) (aka Freddy Mercury aka no tru voice baseline aka False vocal box) Let's say I start with self-tonal isolation ( no actual software used) of Baritone, tenor frequencies will (slip through on the mic), also noted a small hint of soprano and falsetto. When I do tenor, soprano frequency (slip through on the mic), I also noted a small hint of falsetto. My two falsetto types are on opposite ends of the frequencies, so i have falsetto (bass and soprano) When I use falsseto basee, it sounds like I'm underwater on-mic.
