Initial impression is about as good as they get. Perfect fit, no problems as far as installation is concerned & water quality is on par! Visual judgment on water & ice purity is concerned, 9 out of 10! Have to dump quite a few pitchers, 5 gallons to be exact, just to get that clear, floaties free, water quality. Again, this is just a visual judgement on how good this filter works. Don't know if my fridge is all gunked up from the former filter but from what the label states, it has the ability to filter more water per unit compared to the OEM filter that nearly costs twice as much. Filtered water tastes pretty close to the Costco brand water & that's a lot to say living in Las Vegas, NV, having that hard water properties based on my own personal judgement & experience. I have two fridge by the way that has the same ice & water filtration system but of different brand which is Kenmore & Maytag that's basically rebranded from different manufacturers. It does not take the same exact kind of filters, which were also previously purchased on Amazon, and I kind of like the taste of the water in this particular filter better. Take it as a grain of salt but this filters, especially for the price point, works pretty A-Okay in my book. Highly recommended & definitely a repeat business for us. Thank you More Pure Water filters! Note: Not a paid, free or discounted price for a fair review! Read more

This fridge water filter is super easy to install, no tools or hassle. I’ve been repurchasing it regularly for my fridge, and it works exactly as expected every time. The water tastes clean and fresh, and I’ve never had any issues with performance. It’s a dependable product that I’ll continue to stick with. Read more

It takes just a moment to install these in my fridge, and they work very very well. How well? To compare, I use a Brita filter for most of our drinking water. My area has very hard water, and tastes pretty awful from the tap. Using the Brita, the water tastes a good bit better, but takes a while to drip through the filter. Using this to get water from my fridge, not only do I get the water much faster, but it tastes even better. Since the fridge uses the filter for the ice maker as well, the ice never adds a bad taste or any weird particles to the drinks I add it to. I HIGHLY recommend this filter if it fits your fridge. Seems fine, maybe a slightly louder than the OEM filter when water is flowing, but certainly not problematic. I just installed it and flushed it, in a Kitchenaid French door fridge, no problems. No particulates in the water at all. What's weird is that the instructions say to "not install where ambient temperatures may go below 40 degrees". In our fridge, the filter is IN the refrigerator, and the fridge temperature is set to 38, as is standard in the U.S. So will this cause issues? It seems like it shouldn't be any problem but why make such a statement in the installation manual? They probably mean temperature of the general water supply but it makes little sense to me either way as the filled filter will be at 38 degrees most of the time. Many Europeans tend to have their refrigerators set much warmer, in the 43-48 degrees range or thereabouts, and I wondered if that had to do with it. But the manufacturer seems to be an American company, family-owned even, so I don't get it. Read more

I have been trying different lower-cost filters for a while. They are all made in China, even the so-called OEM Maytag branded model that sells for nearly twice the price. The quality control standards in China are poor. The MORE filter works great, installs same as the OEM, and the water tastes the same to me as when I used the Maytag filter. If I could find a reasonably priced filter made in the USA I'd get that one. But for the price, the MORE filter is fine. 4 stars because its made in China. Update July 2020. I'm still using the MORE filter and I'm still happy with it. I have used it now for several 6 month cycles and I have not had any problems. The filtered water tastes fine. The only reason I would change to a different filter is if I could find one made in the USA at a reasonable price. I'm still taking off one star for "made in China". Read more

I had been buying filters at Lowes for probably 30% more. I don't recall the brand, but it lasted about 2 months each time I purchased one. When I purchased the More Pure on Amazon and installed it, we could immediately tell a positive difference in water flow and taste. The best part though is after installing it, I forgot about it and went about our daily routine. When I went to get water tonight, the indicator light was on, so I came back to Amazon to reorder and was amazed to discover that it had been a full year since I had purchased it! And honestly I feel like it could go on longer, the past filters have had a dramatically smaller and slower stream even before the indicator light came on, but this one is still going strong. I would gladly pay more for this filter, but am happy I don't have to. I don't recall leaving a review before, but felt compelled to reward a company that produces such a fine product. Read more

No way am I going to spend $45 twice a year for a Whirlpool branded water filter. This product fits my Whirlpool WRX735SDBM just fine. I read all the reviews and can say I did not experience any leaking. The water flow seems the same and the taste is just as good. I will say this, though; it may be possible cold water is perceived to taste different than room temperature water. So, after you flush through 5 gallons or so per instructions, all the cold water in the fridge pipes is gone. It may be that people who report a different taste are just tasting warmer water they are not used to. After my water got cold again, I tasted it and perceive no difference than before. Read more
