These burn great. The squares are a little smaller than I am used to, but they light well and do the job! And they don't smell anything like the starter sticks I've used which have a strong resin odor. These are much easier. Read more
I’m a little disappointed with these fire starter squares. The size is extremely small — much smaller than I expected. I was hoping for something bigger and more practical to handle, but these feel almost mini-sized. Lighting them also takes some effort. They don’t ignite easily and need a bit of time to get going. Once they finally start burning, they do last for a while, but the tiny size makes them less effective overall. They technically work, but I’m not fully satisfied and will look for a different product to try next time. For what you get, I don’t think the value is very good. Read more
These work great for starting my charcoal in my charcoal chimney. The only problem is they are small, 1" square and they will fall through the holes in the chimney unless you take special effort to prevent it. As far as lighting, they catch fire easy. I use three per batch. There are other larger ones out there, about 1.5" square that are real easy to use, just twist a bit and shove into the hole. Use only one of those. Read more
I’m lighting dried large oak fireplace logs without any problems with these. They burn easily, and keep burning for a long time. They seem to burn hotter than other fire starters I’ve used which means I use less making them well worth the cost. They’re easy to break apart leaving a little fringe that lights instantly. They’re reliable and I will continue to order them for my fire starting needs. Read more

The best thing to say is these do work. They are kind of hard to use and slow to light. Even light wind blows them out. The squares are very small and you can’t hold one to light it. Read more
