I don't know if i think I should have sized down, but this is definitely very roomie on me for a large (usually a size 8-10). They are definitely stretchy, and the fabric is comfortable as well. They feel like sneaky workout pants but for work or more formal occasions like that. The elastic in the back does make them hang a little weird on my bigger bottom, with the giant pockets and criss-cross waistband.
