I bought this product from First Law before there were any reviews. I was a little nervous that it was too much money and would be a cheap and flimsy pull up bar kit. Hopefully my experience is helpful for the next person considering various pull-up systems. The pieces were carefully packaged in the box in both plastic and foam paper. Once removed from the packaging, it takes about 20 minutes to install the pull up system. The I-beam that I mounted it on was 6 inches wide and it fit perfectly. You will want to follow the directions when you tighten the bolts for the I-beam. You will need to go around several times to tighten them up. Once you do a few pull-ups, then you will need to perform a final tightening on the bolts. You may find it helpful to have a second person help you. The I-beam that I connected it to was low enough that it was a one man job. The Steel is impressively heavy and gives the system a sturdy feel. The hand grips have this very nice rubber that should last a nice long time. You can't tell by the photo whether this system is worth the price. That is a decision that you will have to make. I can tell you that First Law did not cut corners on this product. This is a serious system that should provide years of use. After the bolts are snugged up, it is rock solid with no play or rocking. I had considered going to the hardware store and trying to build my own pull up system. I am happy that I went with this unit instead, since it is designed and constructed so well. Read more

Outstanding and worth it. Someone said it was difficult to assemble, although a bit heavy which is expected for a durable metal, I didn’t find it difficult at all and had it up in about 15 minutes. I’ve attached gymnast rings to it, used it as an anchor point for resistance bands and rigged many other attachments to it successfully. Read more

I was blown away at how nice this mechanism is. First, it's made out of the very best material, and you can really feel it when your putting it together. Second- it's built in such an incredibly simple, yet completely stable way. There isn't even a slight wiggle to it- it's so incredible stable. Third- the design is so brilliant. I have it in my utility room- it takes up zero floor space and is impossible to bump your head on- yet it's always so easily accessible. I can try a few pull ups throughout the day- and then hook straps on it in the evening to do all sorts of work outs. It is expensive, that's true- but I see it as an investment in my house just like anything else. And unlike so much of the junk that I buy that takes up space until it's moved to curb, this takes up no space and can be used by everyone in the family (especially with straps and bands). Read more

I have an exposed I-beam and a drop down ceiling. A stand alone tower was too tall, my door frames aren't strong enough, and removing tiles would not look good. This multi-bar was the best choice. I was nervous about the price and lack of reviews. I definitely wasn't disappointed. See the attached pictures. The product was packaged very well and protected. Installation was a bit confusing for me because I wasn't sure how this product was going to stay secured to the I-beam. I had to go around and tighten the bolts 30+ times. And there are 6 bolts. If I had to do it again I could have saved some time by holding the brackets flush against the I-beam first but that wasn't clear in the instructions. Finally the instructions came with a hex key but not a wrench. I spent way more time with a wrench. The bar itself is made of incredible quality. The grips will last a long time. This will be the only bar I ever buy and ever need. Read more
