I've run the gamut when it comes to baby bathtubs. I've had little ones, I've used the kitchen sink, I've used large kitchen bowls (don't recommend!), and I've taken baths with my babies. I've used baby bath slings and hammocks. There are pros and cons to them all, but I will say with confidence that this is the best baby bathtub I've had, for a few reasons. First- it doesn't leak- that's important! Sadly, hasn't always been a given. I tested it on my kitchen cabinet so I'd be able to tell, and it was solid, yet easy to drain when the time came. Next, it has a seat built in, which reduces the amount of water needed to make the bath comfortable. It made it easy to bathe even a newborn with one hand. I didn't use the sling because it seemed like I'd just have to fill up the tub with more water to make it be a comfortable level, and in the past, I've had me-issues with not drying them out properly and getting a mildew smell. Like I said, that's a me thing, and this was certainly adequate for bathing my newborn without one, so long as I kept a hand on his head for support. It wasn't slippery at all- I think the back-mat is great. The sling is definitely nicer than some of the others I've tried in the past, and it snaps on and off easily. I really like the front caddy space for putting either soaps and cloths in, or even bath toys for an older baby. One thing I didn't like as much is that the feet to the sides of the back are hollow and were an extra spot to fill with water that doesn't really benefit the baby much. I also think it's a little small for a toddler. My 2-year-old sat in it for funsies, and it would be too small for him unless I was in a pinch and was only using it for cleaning him, not pleasure. Maybe a small 1-year-old toddler. But it's perfect for a baby! Overall, it is a very nice bathtub- solid design, easy to clean, and with some nice safety features like the anti-slip pads. This is a well designed and affordable baby to toddler bath tub. It fits easily in my bathtub and bathroom, and helps to make bathtime easier and to save water as well. The sling design allows you to easily bath a newborn, and can be removed as baby grows. There is plenty of space and it is handy to have a little shelf to keep bath supplies or toys.
