I got this brush because I needed something gentle for my cat, who’s not exactly thrilled about grooming time. This one has soft, fine bristles that feel more like a massage than a brushing session, and surprisingly, my cat didn’t fight it. That alone makes it a win in my book. The handle is super comfortable and easy to hold, even during longer grooming sessions. It doesn’t slip around or feel awkward. The build quality feels solid, not flimsy like some of the cheaper brushes I’ve tried. The bristles don’t yank at fur, but they still manage to pick up a good amount of loose hair—especially from the undercoat. It’s better for light deshedding or daily grooming rather than heavy-duty fur removal. I wouldn’t recommend it for thick double coats, but for short to medium fur, it’s great. This is a nice massaging brush for my short haired dog, but it does not collect much dog hair. She is sensitive to brushing and enjoyed being brushed with this one, but I had to purchase another brush to use for her regular brushing to get all of her loose hair off. Read more

I got this mainly for cat hairs and it works amazing. I was surprised that it would pick up as much hair as it does. The brush is big so it covers a lot of area. Swapped from a generic product at the last second to this for the quality I associate with fiskars. Deceptively small, it's about half the width of similar products. The rake design seems well adapted for cutting out mats, but not so much for deshedding. Doesn't grab loose undercoat very well, and it's entirely too narrow for a medium to large dog as advertised. Gonna try to use it fit demanding, but going to have to get another deshedding rake. Read more
