For $40 I was pretty skeptical about whether this would be sturdy enough, but it works great. At 200 lbs I'm not heavy but I'm not a lightweight either, and this thing doesn't flex at all during pull-ups. Very good quality construction that feels solid and secure. Came very timely with good packaging and everything arrived intact. Installation was pretty easy with decent instructions, and they even included extra screws which is a nice touch. The joist mount design is rock solid once properly installed. For anyone wanting a home gym pull-up bar without spending hundreds, this delivers way more quality than the price suggests. Highly recommend. Read more

Everything you need, including the bolts comes with it, I have no doubt that it can accommodate up to 400 lbs as stated in the description! This is well-made and solid, the ball for strengthening fingertips strength is a bonus for sure, my son just loves it. My whole family tries to see who can out do each other. It makes exercise even more fun. I highly recommend this. Just be sure to securely mount it to a thick strong beam when setting it up, then you are good to go! ;-) Read more

So far so good. Simple, sturdy and fairly easy to install. The grip feels fine. Make sure you measure your door frame before buying to ensure you will be able to install the bar. Pro tip: don't put the screws in the middle as suggested in the instructions (which is what I did). A better placement would be to put the upper screws on the outside end and the lower screws on the inside end. That way you will help the installation to better withstand the torque created when you are pulling (especially when using the neutral grip). Read more

Honestly am surprised by the quality for the weight of the product itself and the price! Very sturdy and solid. Easy to assemble and mount, but make sure you use a leveler and another set of hands while you mark the holes might help; if you see my photo yes that’s why lol. Great for your home gym or just to have in your kitchen to improve your pull up strength in between cooking and other tasks. Read more

This review is for the pull up bar that matches the photo included with this review. This is a fairly heavy duty bar and mounting system. It is intended to mount to your ceiling joists. If you have exposed joists, then the install should be reasonably easy. But in cases like mine, the joists are hidden by my ceiling drywall and much more work is required to install this. If you have 2"x6" joists, you may need to layer another 2x6 or 2x4 against your existing joists to ensure that all three of the mounting bolts or anchors will have something to attach to. The bar has 3 different mounting heights so you have some flexibility in terms of how high the bar will sit. The bar itself is a bit on the thick side. I found that it was easier and more comfortable to use if I wrapped the bar with some silicone tape so there was a little bit of padding on the gripping surface. Read more

This is an excellent pull-up bar. It's easy to install, with the four lag screws which are included, and the soft grips promote easier Pull-Ups. I strongly recommend this if you have a basement with ceiling floor joists to mount it on. Read more

Easy install. 4 stars because there is a slight wobble because of it not being one piece. Read more
