I after a recent incident I decided to get a dashcam but I didn't want it to be obvious or clutter up my windshield. The FitcamX is just the thing - see my pics. It replaces the cover behind the rearview mirror with one that houses the FitcamX. It matches the color and texture of the original cover. A Y-cable is provided that taps power from the auto-dimming wiring - just plug it in. This way it only operates when the ignition is on. Apparently, the 23-24 Palisade can be equipped with 2 different covers. You pull the cover off with a pry-tool to check the part number inside before ordering. Video can be viewed and downloaded on a phone app via a wifi connection - or remove the micro-SD card. Video quality is vivid and crystal clear with a wide field-of-view. I'm very happy so far. First camera didn't work. They quickly sent me a new one. Installed in 5 minutes, works great. Customer service responded quickly and the debugging was great. Camera came with SD card and SD reader plus a tool to open any OEM plastic tabs. 10/10 would buy again. Read more

Many things that are great about this - couple things of note: 1) Very discreet, no wires showing, blends into the original look of the car. 2) Once you order, their customer service reaches out to confirm you've ordered the correct item (ex: by requesting a photo of the side profile of your mirror or your verification of your OEM mirror cover). 3) Item comes from overseas, but is pretty quick to arrive considering customs! 4) Installation is quick and simple, their online videos are helpful! *One note: for folks with the digital rearview mirror, you'll connect the camera's power cable to the car's power plug for the (I believe) lane-keep assist and not the plug going into the original mirror itself. 5) Camera is clear and works well. This is my 2nd one (also have one on my X3). They sell lens filters to reduce glare, but I haven't felt glare was bad enough to justify buying the filter (just my opinion of course!) Read more

I bought this straight from Fitcamx and I gave this 3 stars because it is a good design, looks nice and connects to power without having wires hanging all over the place. But, it did not fit my 2024 Palisade. I removed the old cover behind the mirror with no problems. They give you a small pry tool and the cover pops right off. I connected the new wiring harness with no problems. The problems started trying to get the new cover, which has the camera mounted in it, back on. I watched the videos which are very clear and simple to understand on putting it back on. You get the top part clicked on first and just pop the sides and bottom back on. This simply would not click into place on the top. It would not go up and click in to place. I tried for about 30 minutes and it just would not fit back on. I than took it down and I picked up the old cover and within 30 seconds it lined up and clicked back into place. Ok the old one fits, so I tried the new one again and it would not go back up into place. Next, I got my wife, had her watch the video and try to put it on. She could not get it into place either. Working together we both could not get it to go on. I contacted fitcamx and I am returning it. This was my experience with it, a good idea, a good product, but it did not fit my car.
